Once again - opportunity is knocking...

Despite an aggravating 0-2 start where we saw a great offensive performance botched by horrid defense, only to be followed the next week by a stellar defensive performance being wasted by poor offensive and special teams, the Saints are actually still right in the thick of things.

The Panthers are losing now and could drop to 1-2. Tampa plays a tough Rams team and could do the same. And we have the 1-1 Falcons at our place in prime time tv where we normally roll.

That's right - when week 3 concludes, you could say the Saints could be in a 4-way tie for 1st place. Or you could say it's a reboot of 2016 and that the NFC south race is a 13 game affair.

I think since I've been on this board I've posted something similar a dozen times.

Opportunity to turn this season around is knocking. It's right here for the taking come MNF. Will the Saints open the door this time unlike many times in the past?

Let's hope so...

We need the Vikings defense and we'd never lose the division

So 8-8 may win the division? I'll take it.

8-8? We have only lost two. Until I see anything different the Saints are going 14-2.

And the candy-assed offensive line that has made Scam Newton look like a god is not what it has been.

thought about this subject all day if this or that loss would get us back, well its time , we can turn this freak of starting 0-2 and be rite on top of division with a W.and bring that stat of 0-2 teams not making playoffs a little better percentage.

oh ya and clowns u suck.

Re: Once again - opportunity is knocking...

All of that is white noise...the standings, the records, the ten year anniversary, the 0-2 odds of making a championship run...

It's the ole cliche', but it still a true axiom...

Saints have to just suck it up and play one game at a time and make sure they have more points than the opponent when the clock hits 0:00...

Sam The Sham and his Fellow Vikings have given us an opportunity
to get back in it. Be nice if we turn the tide and take care of business.

Don't know what's going to happen but with hills at tackle this isn't going to be good. They might move peat and slide in lelito, either way we start to reassemble the preseason oline...you remember those guys, right?

It feels like half our team is injured. we need to start putting up those WINS. I am scared for Brees tonight. IMO
it is a must win just for our teams mental state the rest of the season. As young as we are we need to turn this around.

Well a good run game will hurt the pass rush and help the O-Line...

It's clear WHAT he does. You just have to have the players and coaches to be able to get it done.

The CB's off the street just doesn't give me a lot of confidence.

I don't know where we are and what we could be and depending on what others do.

SO much could happen but its basically simple to just control your own destiny and right now 0-2. We have nothing to discuss.

If we lose tonight, i don't think we will make it to 7 wins.

Win tonight and we could start something nice.

Let's win tonight and join the rest of these dingleberries at 1-2! It's a start!

Why be scared for Brees? The Falcons have the worst pass rush in the entire NFL. They can't get pressure on anyone.

no, it really isn't because i am talking about Armistead not being in the limeup. If we haven't run the ball with him in there what gives you confidence we will run it without him in there? We could, but I don't have confidence in that

Um; most of the time the runs go up the middle behind the guards/center... Armstead has always been better at pass blocking than run blocking...

That's my biggest fear, if we start tanking the season he will just load IR with tons of players and manage to keep his job at the end of 3 disastrous seasons.

Armistead is a really good run blocker, he is athletic and can move out in space. Either way, I don't think you, I, or anyone is going to come on here and start saying that we are in better shape offensively without Armistead. I sure hope you're not trying to say that we will run the ball better with Armistead out
