this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; just an isightful read i thought. smoot sez the biggest reason beyond the bucks for going to minny is how committed they are to improving their defense- kevin williams. kenechi udeze, antoine winfield, pat williams, possibly darius... an organization making ...

Getting rid of Moss might have been the best move of all the Off Season ...
it freed up a ton of cap..and now, they are getting help on the D..in a big way... Don\'t be suprised to see these guys make the playoffs again this year... |

consider this john clayton statement about the overspending in the first week or so of free agency...
Paying for the players in the first week of free agency is pricey and sometimes might not look to make sense. But football is a talent acquisition sport. No team can pay those steep prices every year, but if the alternative is floundering around and doing without, it\'s better to strike and strike fast. The alternatives sometimes could be worse. They are known as losses. |
