We keep finding ways to lose, injuries obviously are a back breaker, but even before we started getting injured we were not a good team.

2 straight 0-4 preseasons, preseason matters, people need to wise up a little on that.

We found ways to lose way before a ton of our starters went down.

In the last 15 home games we are 4-11, what's the reason for that? What's the reason for back to back 7-9 seasons and an 0-3 start, the answer is Payton and his buddies.

So that's it? We're as good as New England or we're a bad team? There's nothing in between?

Patriots IR
T Vollmer, Sebastian
RB Lewis, Dion
G Jackson, Tre

Patriots Out Week 3
QB Jimmy Garoppolo

And of course Tom Brady's out on suspension.

While losing a superstar is hard to make up, losing 10 or more of the 22 projected offensive and defensive starters means you have cover up for half your team and is way more difficult.

The reason we've had back to back losing seasons is obvious, our defense sucked in historic fashion. The defense was undisciplined, often confused and too often out of position. We had absolutely no interior pressure and couldn't stop the run.

We eliminated the biggest problems by getting rid of Rob Ryan and his read and react defense. Guys know where there supposed to be and what their responsibilities are when they get out of the huddle. We've already seen improvements in that department.

The addition of Rankins/Fairly into the defensive line rotation woulda, shoulda, coulda significantly improved the internal pressure on the pocket which would help Jordan and Kikaha, and helped at least a little in run defense. The improvement in the front end would take pressure off the secondary.

Even when completely healthy I don't think this defense would be record setters but I have no doubt it would be better that what we've had the misfortune of seeing for the last two seasons.

We are bad team simple.

we're an awful team, and there may be many reasons for that, but it doesn't make it any less true. I haven't seen these guys give up or play without heart, they're just not good. This team is a mess.

The 2015 Draft has resulted in this:
Anthony doesn't seem to making the field as often. Peat is doing better. Kikia IR, PJ IR, GG Practice Squad, Tull- Cut, Davidson has looked okay, Swann -IR, Murphy- okay?

So that draft that we all had so much hope from doesn't look like it is doing anything

Actually I am surprised by this team despite the front office

25% of our cap is playing else where or asking people if they want paper or plastic.

Add in a defense riddled with injuries were more than one starter are injuries. Making matters worse multiple starts at CB.

An offense line that is in constant flex.

A WR core that is also in flux.

Taken all the cheap FA and UDFA the saints must sign even to field a team, I am actually find myself tipping my hat to the coaches. small tip.

Now the front office has a chance to wipe the book clean, for the most part in 2017.

The saints front office needs to stop screwing up and learn to use the draft better to control the cap. multiple picks in rounds 3 - 5 make up the core of successful team

Trades? New England Patriots gets it
Acquired CB Eric Rowe from Philadelphia for a conditional 4th round
Acquired DE/OLB Barkevious Mingo from Cleveland for a 5th round

4th and a 5th for solid depth players that will play and be part of a active rotation.

Injuries are expected. Multiple starters injured at one position is bad luck

Front office moves of the past few years is unacceptable.

In a Ocean of bad, Laurinaitis and Byrd stand out as the worst.

Add to that very little depth (Hagan just alluded to with bad contracts) ... our goose is cooked.

On to San Diego :bng:. Let's Go !

Sean Payton is 4-15 in the last 19 games in the Dome, folks. His teams always used to be known historically to play really well at home (Dome field advantage), known to bring the fireworks and show up ready to play in big prime time night games; Sean Payton was known for having the "number" of our main rival the Atlanta Falcons, as well as also known for clobbering his former employers the Giants (was previously 4-0 record against them).

Well, none of these things seem to be reliably happening for him anymore. The once-impressive record Payton had against the Falcons, is slowly starting to even out and dip back down towards .500. The once-impressive "sure things" of his incredible record in games against his former employers the Cowboys and the Giants, where he would pull out all the stops, are now not so "sure" anymore. The once-impressive prime time record, as well as home field, are also trending in the wrong direction these days.

The last 15 games in the Dome, the Saints have won 4 of them. Let that sink in for a minute.
