Re: Seasons over

I think Dennis Allen has done all he could with the injuries he has had to deal with; but Bill Johnson the defensive line coach has to go! It's his job to coach the pass rush, which we never have none.

If that means Payton has to go to get his buddies out, than so be it...

I'd hate for a new coach come in and clean house though. I'd hate to lose some of the young talented players we have...

Crawley, Anthony, Bell, Harris; as well as some others...

In my opinion, doing the following would be the best move

Cut or trade the high priced under performing guys

Byrd, Fleener, Laurinitus etc

Cut players that just not good - Cadet, Coleman etc

Clean the coaching staff

Getting rid of Payton, Loomis, Bill Johnson, Vitt, McMahon and the conditioning coach

Keep the young guys that show potential - Bell, Crawley, Anthony, Robertson, Davison etc

Keep Brees and Carmichael, as well as the receivers.

I'd like to see what Fleener does the rest of the season before throwing him out with the bath water. He had a decent game tonight...

He had a "decent" game but still looked bad in spots, I counted 3 dropped passes after 5 last week and the only reason he was midly successful was because Atlanta are incapable of stopping seam routes, which Ben Watson displayed last season.

Although, it's only fair to see what Fleener does the rest of the season to see if he gets more comfortable so I agree there.

Fleener looked better tonight, even showed some signs of competent blocking, but here is the issue - he has no ability to make a play after the catch. If he can't make a move or break through soft tackles, he's pretty much just a replacement-level tight end.

I see 13 games left on the schedule. You go right ahead and shut that TV off if you like shrimp.

Technically you're right, but polishing the 0-3 turd just means you're not accepting our reality. I haven't seen Guido lately...did he run out of polish?
