This is a truly atrocious defense, even when everyone's healthy.

Our offense isnt all that, either, especially, if we keep wasting the ball, by throwing to Brandon Coleman and Cody Fleener.

Our O-line is ok at pass blocking sometimes, but is one injury away from being a complete abortion.

And now, our special teams, aside from the new Morten, has also become a joke.

We are an horrific football team, and I wonder if we can win A game this year. I hate talk about draft position, but I think we will be very close to the #1 pick next spring.

I'm no "liberal," and I'm still a fan, and in fact, will be spending more money this year on the Saints, and raising HELL in the Terrace, so I have the right to blast. But if you are what your record is, we are currently sh**.

Tell us how you really feel...

However, spkb the rams are gonna be below .500 when we play them. That is a game we can win. They allowed 32 points to the bucs. They are like SF, where they are a different team on the road.

I am sure we can win, but a trap game would be a game you're supposed to win, like your 7-1 and playing a team 1-7 and you do not take it seriously and lose....We are not going to be in that situation this year. Matter of fact we would be a team that another good team could have as a trap since we are not very good

Yeah, in theory we could be a trap game for someone (Carolina, maybe?) but it's not really the case. We are a gift from the football gods to any offense who is lucky enough have us on their schedule. If the defense can't stop anyone from scoring, you can't win a game, period.

Just to put it in perspective, the Falcons were 5-7 in the red zone against the Saints the other night. That total number, 7, was the same number of red zone trips the Falcons had in their first two games, combined. That is just plain not good defense, if you are letting your opponent into the red zone seven times a night.

defense played it's worst game of the year this past week. Injuries are certainly part of the cause. Can't argue it is not, but that said we wouldn't be very good even if completely healthy, but we would be better than we are. Right now we aren't stopping much of anything at all

Honestly, though. Brees doesn't tend to step up until the second half of games. Constantly we are scoring below 20 points at halftime. The botched punt return fumble is what really affected that game and this sends the message that the defense has to bail out the offense's "mistakes". The longer you keep a team from scoring the more confused they will be. After all this is the belief that we can't keep playing well offensively from behind. But the other team can? If we are up 10-0 or 14-0 Atlanta does not win that game. We are making too many mistakes. And I feel that the defense is being asked to play well because the offense had a booboo. Oakland's offense is not as explosive as one thought. And Murray is not that good in ypc. Atlanta has a tandem which affects things much differently. Two times already the offense turns the ball over within the first two drives of the game before the other team has even moved the ball or scored. That needs to stop.

Oh and that pick six probably does not happen either. So yeah we definitely win that game without offensive mistakes.
