The New Orleans Saints signed veteran offensive lineman Khalif Barnes due to injuries up front, but a day before the game, they decided they didn't need him.

The Saints released Barnes on Saturday and signed cornerback Brian Dixon from the practice squad, according to the NFL transaction wire.

I don't get it. Armstead and Kelemete are both ruled out for this game. What other healthy O-linemen do we have, Hills? That's about it..

LOL, Payton is so OCD, he can't even decide which one of the Dixon twins he likes better...."should we go with Brandon or Brian? Let's have a look at the tape again" "we need a corner? Sign one of those Dixon guys!" "We need a roster spot? Do we have a Dixon twin on the roster we can cut?"

These two twins get cut and signed from the practice squad so much, they could probably just fill in for each other, show up in each other's uniforms and the coaching staff on all these different teams might not even know or care which one they got. That's life in the bargain basement of spare parts that we live in right now.

Dixon is strictly special teams and an emergency CB if even more disaster happens.

He excels at special teams. This isn't a bad move at all.
