Positives
Our Defense really stepped up and adjusted after the half and held a potent offense to 10 points. With mostly backups.
Kruger and Fairly look to be good pickups. Coaching. Nice balance and willingness to stick with the run. Even playing from behind. It shows that Payton is adjusting or giving more responsibility to Carmichael without interfering . Good clock management at the end. You can only drag a drive out so far and I feel like we dragged it out as long as we could. Rookies have HEART. They play their balls off and while they still **** up a lot they continue to improve. We are in second place in the division. Forget all other games, you win the division you are in. We can beat Atlanta at their house. We get Rankins back after the bye and Breaux soon after that. Bye week. Turns out the early bye is just what we need to get healthy and reasses. Going into it with a hard fought come from behind win was crucial. Every year you hear the media say "fans were ready to run coach so and so out of town until the so and so game but the team is a different team now. They have been winners ever since" Could that be us? Doubt it but stranger things have happened. |

Re: Positives
This is a good read there were bright spots on the D especially when we
went to man coverage. We were fortunate on the turnovers and did capitalize on what the Bolts gave us. And Ingram is a workhouse always getting us a few extra yards. I can't see SP going anywhere, some of his assistants yes. And for sure the early Bye is an unforeseen gift right now. |

Re: Positives
Positive. The early bye has me excited. After the schedule was released we all thought our bye came too early and complained about it repeatedly on the boards(me too). We can really benefit with the additional time to coach players as well as to get everyone healthy(specifically Ellerbe). As it turns out it's good timing. The whole team can benefit from the rest.

Re: Positives
Positives?
Michael Thomas is one impressive rookie with an equally impressive first step from scrimmage... Signed as an insurance backup, Craig Robertson has quickly stepped up as King of the Underrated... Andrus Peat, despite struggling through playing a different position week to week, has been a good left tackle... Coach Aaron Glenn has the Saints secondary playing above their talent of undrafted rookies and castoffs... Max Unger is quietly going about an All-Pro Season despite less-than-stellar guard play... And for those who follow ProFootball Focus, Nick Fairley made their Week 4 Defense of the week... |

Re: Positives
We'll be fine. A few key players will be back after the bye. Falcons will lose today making them 3-2, Panthers or Bucs will lose making them 2-3 and 1-4. We're definitely in this one and after our very, very. very slow start things can only get a lot better.
Panthers and Bucs are not good and the Falcons will implode as usual. We'll beat them at home to end the season 10-6. |

Yeah I don't think Atlanta will collapse this year.

Re: Positives
Falcons are good, they're better than we are. They have play makers all over the offense. Barring injuries they're going to win our division. I think people on this board have a difficult time recognizing we are not the 09-11 team. I think we will go somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8. I'd be happy to be wrong, however and hope getting breax and sheldon back makes a huge impact and we sneak a 9-7 or 10-6...to me we are 7-9 or 8-8 tops.
