Re: Well I've gone and done it!
I was high on ODB before the draft, ranking him ahead of the likes of Evans and Cooks before anyone else did. I don't live in Louisiana to know about any of his highschool history or whatever.
If you ****ing think Fournette is gonna be happy with 10 carries a game on this team then you are the one who is stupid. Payton hurts players' potential unless they are receivers and even those who aren't number ones but were in college get affected. Number one players expect number one production. |

First, Rocky, who p*ssed in your cheerios, Bro? Did that chick take the fifty dollars and run out the side door at Cruisin' Da Coast? Those crazy @ss Mississippi girls... Second, Does Danno not want his Johnny Manziel No. 2 Saints Jersey he's had on backorder now? ;) |
Re: Well I've gone and done it!
And for the record, the downward trend and spiraling started for ODB when that **** Lena Durham, dressed in a tuxedon and tried to pick him up at a New York Benefit...ODB has been unraveled ever since...

So how does that make Fournette somehow overrated? What makes you think being in a run first offense benefits him? People don't compare you to some of the greatest running backs in the history of college football because of stats. Melvin Gordon put up video game numbers a couple of years back at Wisconsin, and while people took notice, nobody was talking about him like they do with Fournette. And by the way, there were tons of people, myself included, who thought Manziel would be a bust. That wasn't a hard one to call. Oh, and one more thing... Fournette is not a "me first player". You took what one person said on here and made it out to be the gospel truth. OBJ appears to be a very self centered player. Ok..... Name ONE other player from LSU with that reputation. To take one player and declare that he represents the behavior of an ENTIRE university is completely ridiculous. You have been clamoring for Chad Kelly in draft threads since last year. What a stand up guy he has been. I could go on and on, but I'm going to end my rant here. |
Re: Well I've gone and done it!
No RB with exceptional talent is going to find that big hole for a big 20-30 yard running play with 10 carries a game. A big run comes one or two times in a game out of 15 carries at least.

Re: Well I've gone and done it!
ok, this is funny.
OP comes out and says he left the other site because of the hostility. A couple of us say, well its calmer here. Now I got 4 or 5 pages of people insulting and flaming each other. LOL. people, calm the f*** down, and just have some fun. |

Great running backs find daylight and run to it, through it, and they don't run into the back of a lineman, from the first play to the last play. It's one thing to wear down the other team over the course of the game, but this idea of the running back needing to get into a rhythm is something I don't believe in. It's not a position of rhythm. I can guarantee you that if the Saints had a great running back, we'd see more running plays. We have an okay RB. And yes, Payton lacks balance in his play-calling. We ran the ball a lot with Deuce, when Payton first got here, and in later years used a mix of running backs and made it work. But they let the offensive line go to crap, and the play calling went with it. Even when it's working now, he seems to abandon it. But none of this has anything to do with what type of talent Fournette is. He'll get his carries, no matter where he goes. |
Re: Well I've gone and done it!
