If we could get a good return I'd certainly consider trading one of our RB's or our punter for a good pass rusher or LB.
We're loaded at RB and Morstead may be the most over-rated Saints player in the history of Saints players. He's nothing more than shiny bling in a trailer park. |

I think the Saints should see if the Chargers are interested in trading Antonio Gates now that they have an emerging, young player in Hunter Henry. Sean Payton wants to run the 2 and 3 TE sets like the Patriots do, and Drew Brees already has a rapport with Gates. We could use his leadership on that side of the ball. I haven't researched it, but I believe he's a better blocker than Fleener. We already know he's a better pass catcher. Anyway, that's one of the moves I'd try to make.

Re: NFL trade deadline is Oct. 28th
Cam Jordan has slowed down this year so far. So the trade option is lower. It's sad that he is the only player on defense with any trade value. We have a plethora of running backs so I could possibly see a trade coming with one of them. I want To keep Morestead. He is a necessary chess piece for Payton. It's all about field position. And Morestead is one of the best. That's why he is one of the most highly paid punters. Sean Payton ain't trading him.
