Drive the nail in the coffin and go for it on fourth down. That is the Sean that won the Super bowl.

Re: Should the Saints have gone for it on 4th & 1 up 21-0?
It's a tough call. The Saints have a defense that plays with heart, but not one that is deep enough to sustain leads. So a long story short is no lead is safe really applies, so must keep drives alive and score TD's at every opportunity.

We had our foot on their throat and we let up... It is not enough to defeat my enemy, but I must destroy his very will to challenge me again... This was the opportunity that was missed when Payton elected to send the rookie kicker in on a 1:3 FG attempt... Going for it would have been my first choice; second would have been to pin 'em back deep, even getting the chance of recovering a muffed punt reception... |

Re: Should the Saints have gone for it on 4th & 1 up 21-0?
What bugged me was the not taking a shot before halftime on the penalty on fg with 10 secs left .what you got to lose. Something else that bugged me was the thought of going for 2 on the last td when the kick puts you up by 8.why would even consider going for 2 there blew my mind
