Forty plus of the last fifty years have been what many here would see as far worse than an embarrassment. When I look back over my life I can see quite a few periods which I might wish were handled differently. But I know they are all a part of the process of life.

Things aligned in my life to make things better. Things are aligning with the Saints to make them better, as well. Those things can happen this season and with positive thoughts they have a better chance of success.

Yes, 9-7 would be good considering where we are, no doubt.

Just a sad low point for this team as its getting harder and harder to remember the good times.

Feel bad for Brees, he deserves so many more rings and it's likely he'll get no more.

It is getting harder and harder for me to remember the days when 9-7 would have been phenomenal. Dan Marino deserved rings and he never got one. Fran Tarkenton deserved rings and he never got one. Great quarterbacks throughout NFL history were, regardless of individual talent, part of a team as a whole.

Drew Brees DEMANDED a no trade clause in his contract because he wanted to be a Saint the remainder of his career, win or lose. Don't feel bad for Brees.

We all have different experiences in life that cause us to feel any number of different ways. You don't have the first clue what I, or anyone else here have experienced. Some people you might say are over the top negative, but a lot of people also just state the obvious, and when you are 2-4, the obvious isn't pretty.

People, myself included, want to blow off some steam after a frustrating loss and talk about what we saw.

But your attempt at convincing all of us that your motivation for chastising us is based on your need to "think positive" holds no weight when you come here to complain about people. If it stresses you out to read a realistic take on a game, then find another activity. I'm not in the business of telling people what to do with their time, but honestly, if you were so hell bent on positive thoughts you wouldn't be in here complaining about everyone.

Simply disagreeing would suffice. You claim you used to be negative. Yet because you have supposedly become captain positive, you have the right to call others whiners? You clearly lack humility.

It is telling that there are less than five people here than I can identify as over the top negative and a couple that are borderline. Yet, I have had many more agree with my concerns.

I don't know if the defense is even going to get better with everyone healthy but I love the way the offense looks compared to the last few seasons. If Snead grabs the throw that hit him dead in his hands and MI holds on to the damn ball we are probably still winning this game. I still believe in this team.

I'm calling BS on that. You have just about turned yourself into public enemy number one around here. Also, it is impossible that you have only identified 5 people as being over the top negative. There are a very large number of people who come here stating their disappointment in some form or fashion. You complain about ALL of them. You can't stand for anyone to question or doubt, or complain (as you would put it) about anything. That means you consider all of those people overly negative.

I don't consider you my enemy. I am just long since fed up with the condescension. You seem to want to make enemies, however.

DS, the defense held (if you want to call it that) the Chiefs defense to 326 total yards on offense (112 rushing, 214 passing)...

It was the sloppy play (mistackles and penalties) that really did the Saints in today...

The Saints gave away this game to the Chiefs today; and that's probably the worst rub of all...

Payton and the defensive coaches need to take a real, hard look at mistackles - it's really the difference these past three years on defense...

It's funny because for periods of games our D has looked amazing, then, in the periods where they aren't on, they look god awful and get cut up far too easily. This is what it comes down to, our D cannot hold up for long enough. Not really sure the reason for this but I don't think it is personnel.
