this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; As much joy as it would give me to have a player of his caliber in our backfield, we would have to absolutely tank to get him. He won't necessarily be the top pick, even though he's the best player, ...

As much joy as it would give me to have a player of his caliber in our backfield, we would have to absolutely tank to get him. He won't necessarily be the top pick, even though he's the best player, but I can't imagine him slipping past 3 or 4. We'd have to give up too much to trade up, and that isn't worth it for the overall good of this team, in my opinion.
Of course, if the Saints never get healthy, they could easily be in the top 5. If they get healthy, I don't see worse than a 7-9. |
