How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
We all know Jimmy is licking his chops for this game. I'm expecting him to go off on our D mega time. Will double teaming/bracketing him even work consistently with our players?
He faded away in big games before when he played for us, but that was against great defenses. If we can keep him under control (somehow) we have a chance but if he's running free he will eat us alive. |
Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
He's going to suck.

Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
You really think so? Even washed up players tend to go bananas on their former team and he's been getting multiple catches this season. We don't have anyone that can go up for a jump ball with him.

Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
We surrender the world to weaker players, this one is going to be ugly for us. We can't defend a pass to save our lives and can't rush a pocket QB, Wilson and Graham will tear us apart.

We're not... Plain and simple.

Beating JG is easy. Here's what you do. Hit him hard, twice coming off the line EVERY PLAY. Disrupt his route and timing. Works on him every time.

Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
I'm not worried about Graham or anyone on Seattle's offense. Not that our defense will shut them out, but Seattle just isn't very good on that side of the ball right now.
I'm more curious to see if we can score more than 15 points against them, which has been a problem the last couple of times we've faced them. It's at home, though, so maybe we can pull one out. |

We put Byrd on him

Seattle leaving the Dome with an L.
I'm not overly concerned about Jimmy Dickens. |
Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
As long as we stay disciplined on the ends we can control sea chickens offense. Wilson will not beat us in the pocket but even hobbled if Jordan crashes the inside too much Wilson will still limp to the outside and throw a jump ball up to Jimmy and complete some of them. We can't let even a limping Wilson out of the pocket. Sea chickens are down another O-lineman after Sunday night, we need pressure up the middle but contain the ends.

You are always so sure that not only are you right, but everyone who disagrees with you is an all out stupid moron. I tell you all the time that just because we aren't affiliated with the team, that doesn't mean we don't know what we're looking at. You wouldn't accept anything I said then, yet you claim in another post here that you will "gladly accept an answer if one is truly given". That's an impossible thing to do, because you won't accept anything until you have decided on your own that it's ok to change your mind. |

Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
Graham was pretty invincible until the Patriots game in 2013.
Bellich game planned for him Talib beat him up and held him on every play. Almost no flags. The other teams (the best ds first) followed suite Didn't help that Drew was throwing to him in blanket triple coverage |
Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
... by hanging on to the ball, and scoring on every offensive possession.
its our only chance. against anyone. |

Seattle is still recovering from 5 quarters of battling AZ to a tie game, their O line is spotty and Russell Wilson has multiple concerns right including a injured pec (heard on 710 Seattle radio) + they are traveling a long ways for a 12 noon game on Sunday. We are catching Seattle at the right time ... Seattle and Jimmy Dickens are going home with a fresh L. |

Everybody's talkin' 'bout Jimmy; Jimmy this, Jimmy that; know another guy that may have some say about the S'hawks comin' to town...

Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
Easy, tag him on his first catch, then watch him disappear.

Re: How are we going to keep Jimmy in check?
We would have a much better chance of limiting a motivated JG if Ellerbe was playing. We need to play smash mouth football since we don't have but a couple of starters left on defense. Hit him in the mouth early and often. Check him hard at the line and knock him down to the ground.....that should be Vaccaro's assignment.
Also, be prepared for a couple of early personal foul penalties to set the tone for the game. If you can't compete then intimidate! |

I don't care about Jimmy but Bennett being out is huge. Their best pass rusher.
