Payton just gave positive news about his injured players.
They will all die, horrifically before Sunday.

Lasco can have had a real revealing party this weekend against the 49ers who've been gashed by running backs of his style of play (e.g. LeSean McCoy)...

Really wanted to see Lasco not just on special teams, but on third downs against the 49ers as Lasco reminds me a Roger Craig-type RB...

Dannell Ellerbe will be a cap casualty in 2017 and save the saints 3+ million in cap relief. no dead money is attached to him in 2017

Radar is on the intercom and the helicopters have been rolling in since training camp started. Our M*A*S*H Drs. must be getting brain dead and loopy by now. Who is watching Frank Burns to keep him in line? Colonel Henry Blake? I doubt he's sober enough.
Oh well. I digress. :chug:

Over/Under on the # of snaps he plays before incurring another injury?

This just in...

Because of the unique situation of the Saints' Ellerbe, the NFL has created a new injury designation the DLNBYNGWMA-NBS (Don't Look Now But You'll Never Guess Who's Making An Appearance - No Bullsh*t, Seriously)...

It will also be the only injury designation that will have a Las Vegas Book of Odds...

Re: Saints M*A*S*H Unit

Don't get me wrong.
I like Ellerbe.
When he plays?
He is great.
And he is a nice guy. I know that firsthand.
He rented a house in Kenner when he moved here.
The gas cooktop had a leak in a line and blew up the first time his wife (who is also very nice) used it.
My appliance repair company got a call from the owner of the home to repair it.
As the owner of the company, I took it upon myself to run the call.
Why wouldn't I?
I welcomed them to NOLA and did my job.
The Ellerbe family could not have been nicer.
I feel for the dude because it must suck to have all of that talent and have his body betray him.
Over and over and over.
As a Saints fan?
Ughhhhhhhh......

I am hoping that Ellerbe has turned the corner on whatever has been the medical issue. Having him available and playing every week could be the catalyst for the defense the rest of the year with Rakins and Breaux back, as well.

Armstead and all of the limited with the exception of Moore will play.

Ellerbe simply is a beast when he hits that field.

Damn injuries.

Re: Saints M*A*S*H Unit

Ellerbe made a great play rushing first outside then back up the line and turned up to get a sack or at least got in on one as I recall.

Then later, when we needed a 3rd down stop (3rd and 8 I think) he did that same thing, only when he turned back up the line it vacated the outside and the guy got the yards and the 1st.

Just something I noticed while watching him play.

Ellerbe really does have amazing change-of-direction ability and makes those stunts really effective...

Like KMajor was saying - really, really frustrating the guy can't stay healthy...
