In the past we would let up 500 yards to anyone, Eagles game last season when their O was struggling hard.
That said, I understand where you're coming from and I understand the wait and see approach. I know at the end of the day you're not going to be upset if we do well, you're just offering an honest assessment! |

Re: New Perspective
The 49ers are pretty terrible. That much we know. But it's a road game, and the Saints just don't play well on the road under any circumstances. They only manage to win on the road against really bad teams, when they win them at all, and even in those games I don't remember off hand the last time I came away feeling good about the performance.
So I don't take this game for granted, and hopefully the team won't. I'm really hoping to see them get fired up and ready to finally shake the road woes off. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: New Perspective
The defense has looked better, maybe the competition, maybe not.
Frisco is looking to bounce back and salivating because they see us coming. They have loss 6 in a row and coming off a bye week with the home crowd. Once again, if we hold them to 20, we win. They have averaged about 20, and are giving up 30. If we can't get out of there with this victory, it would be very telling. I don't think we would have any trouble putting up 30, my concern is holding them to their average 20. |

Re: New Perspective
Defense is only going to get better.
Rankins DB40 Moore All should be back this week. That's yugeee. Still need to see how the injuries effect their performance but signs are pointing in the right direction, just might be to little to late. One thing I do know. Saints are great at getting back to 4-4. The problem is continuing to perform after that. |

12-4. I'd rather come on late than early.

Re: New Perspective
Have to roll with Hightower. Use Ingram like the Pats use James White. Hightower is also a better blocker. A lot better. If we go that route I could see things starting to change. I love watching how the Pats use Blount and White. Power and agility, really keeps teams guessing and both players have to be accounted for at all times.

Re: New Perspective
I am hosting a large party after our Battleship rugby tournament and for a change The Saints are playing the late game. I'll be grilling while the boys are playing......Sweet! Rugby in the morning and Saints football in the afternoon with 40-60 close rugby friends. I'm feeling blessed win or lose......hopefully we win.
