Yes! I believe that when we get players back from injury the defense will improve; what sense does it make to strengthen the defense by weakening the offense?

We have # 9 under center. It simply doesn't matter who is split out at WR, he elevates everyone's game at the position.. This offense has ranked top 3 in what the last 7 or 8 years? I hardly believe there would much fall off.
As for the defense, we still don't know what we have in Rankins yet. He hasn't had one snap at this level. He have a long way to go before he is at Richardson's level. You get immediate production from SR. Jordan, Fairley & Kikaha (when healthy again) would look a lot better. Did you notice how that RB for Seattle #32 was ripping off 10+ yards with no DL within 4 or 5 yards?
This defense needs all the help it can get. You can't outscore everyone in the NFL :beatnik:.
