this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Looks like he held his own today on the left side. Is it time to trade Amstead or move him to the right? He seems to be often injured....

Re: Andrus Peat
Players have injury prone years. I would give him another one to up hid value unless he's gonna hit FA. If he does hit FA this injury could save us moolah

Re: Andrus Peat
The Saints just gave the Dude a huge extension.
No way. I would prefer sitting him until he is truly healthy. We will need him in the playoffs. Yep. I said playoffs. |

Re: Andrus Peat
no way would I trade him, but I would let him sit until healthy. The constant bringing him in when he cannot make it through a game is ridic.I think peat and kelemente can handle the duties.

Re: Andrus Peat
I think it's time to put Armstead on IR and roll with Peat at LT the rest of the season. Coach can figure out what to do with them going forward in the offseason.

Re: Andrus Peat
I questioned the signing because of the track history of the knee.
now we signed him.. get him healthy even if it is to send him to IR. gotta break this annual cycle or get him health enough to pull another Jimmy trade on some other sucker in the NFL |

Re: Andrus Peat
Peat is coming along nicely but I'd much rather see him at LG and Armstead at LT. Let Armstead get healthy and that will be a BEAST of a side on the OL.

So the Saints should shelve Armstead until he is healthy but not IR. SFIAH |

Re: Andrus Peat
Trade Armstead? A 25 year old left tackle who just happens to be one of the best in the NFL? Be thankful that Peat found a home at LG and is holding up at LT, that side of line should be set for the next 5 to 8 years.
