Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
I always thought that the first half of the schedule was the hardest. Although looking now at the second half, it looks equally daunting.
Vs Broncos @Panthers Vs Rams Vs Lions @Bucs @Cardinals Vs Bucs @Falcons I'll go 5-3. That would make us 9-7. Is that enough to make the playoffs? |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
10-6
Losses to TB and Az. Win the Div in ATL after the Clowns collapse down the stretch. |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
Barring injuries, no worse than 10-6!

I predicted 10-6 too, but I have to believe it should be: Despite injuries....... I wish it weren't so, but I cannot overlook the curse that someone has obviously placed on this team. I suspect it was the "Three Rs" that did it. |

Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
I said before the year that I thought anywhere from 7-9 to 10-6. There were too many wild card factors, and I still feel exactly that way. There isn't a team on that schedule that I look at and say "no way we beat that team". They are all winnable. But there are things this team does that make me say "if they play like this against the better teams, they won't win any of them". But then they come out and play better.
So it's hard to predict, but the offense is better this year than it was a year ago. They've had some vanishing acts, but today they finally played a dominant game on offense ON THE ROAD. Even though the '9ers stink, I said it earlier in the week that the Saints never play well on the road, period, and I wanted to see them finally break that trend. It wasn't the greatest team performance, but the offense did it's job and that makes me feel like they can get to at least 9 wins. I want to say 10-6 because there aren't any great teams in this league. But I'll go conservatively with 9-7, just because fluky things happen so often against lesser teams. |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
To answer the OP's question, I think 9-7 will absolutely be a playoff record this year. The only problem will be how many teams finish there. This has been a very mediocre league, again. More so this year than I can remember.

Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
too hard to say. if the health on d actually starts to pay dividends 10-6 is not hard to envision. every game is winnable, but who knows.

Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
Vs Broncos - L
@Panthers - W Vs Rams - W Vs Lions - W @Bucs - W @Cardinals -L Vs Bucs - W @Falcons - W Lmao at myself to be honest. 10-6 was my original so I have to make it work sweeping 2 out 3 in the division would be a tall order espically with 3 - 4 will be on the road The question will be - Can the defense continue to bend without breaking too often? |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
I think we can run the table but I also know we can give a game away, so 11-5.
|
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
Welcome to NFL parity. "On any given Sunday.........."

Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
I didn't think we would win more than 3 or 4 games this year, so right now I'm totally stoked!!!

Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
Just to echo what I just posted in my Playoffs!!?? thread:
1. Finish strong in the division. 2. Complete the job in November That leaves the Cards and the Lions. Going 1-1 between the two will put the Saints at 11-5 and likely winning the division. SFIAH |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
I think 5-3.
With losses coming from Panthers, Atlanta, and the Cards. I think we'll beat the Broncos. |

Ouch. But in all honesty if you cannot beat the teams in your division, then you really are not playoff caliber material anyway. I hope it doesn't come to the above scenario. SFIAH |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
We just beat up on the worst team in the NFL. We are playing better football but just dont have enough quality defensive players to compete if anyone else gets injured. I still say 8-8 or 9-7. We beat the Broncos and we may have something. I think we just play spoiler and ruin the playoff chances of a couple teams but we wont win enough to seriously contend for the playoffs ourselves.
If we had the DBs we started with in camp we would be a serious team. Its too bad really. |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
Anywhere from 8-8 to 11-5
|
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
If we beat Denver, we're 5-4.
If we lose, we're 4-5. |
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
8-8... please prove me wrong Saints !
|
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
If Ellerbe, Rankins and Breaux were playing we could win every game. Our injuries have derailed this season so far but we could still finish strong.
|
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
12-4 !!!!!!! Really 10-6
|
Re: Predict Our Record The Rest of the Year
The Saints O has arrived. Michael Thomas is getting better every game and we now have the best WR trio in the league. Hightower's emergence along with solid line play, Fleener, Kuhn and even Josh Hill are all good players playing their respective roles perfectly. Ingram looks faster and angrier than ever and the D is getting healthier. Vaccarro is having his best season and the Saints have two linebackers with an INT. I know the D could possibly still let us down, but I'm gonna say we go 8-0. Saints vs Patriots in the BOWL.
