With what I saw with Seattle/NE

This is the kind of football you play at this level. It's not about just defense it's about balance. Those weapons on NE look better than ours. They have a physical receiver and TE. The fact they are both white shows even more that maybe white receivers are the new fundamental thing. Even Decker has shown it with the jets. Nelson with GB in his prime. These are the guys that understand complimentary football and intimidate their opponents. I'm not being racist with this at all so please do not go there. The pats didn't complain being down 19-14, they just continued at it. The pats scored one less point than us, but they had one more TD than we did against this team. And they were playing KC too who we did not play.

Allowing 24-31 points is actually normal with playing good teams. NE came up short but no one is going to put their team down for it. The pats have two physical receivers, a RB with a history of having a superego(and this is a bad thing right?) and still gives his all. They simply look more explosive than us. Making plays is one thing but explosive is another thing.

So you have to wonder about our weapons. Cooks was not drafted just to do one or two things well. Yes he got the TD but he can't make consistent catches like AB can. He's basically boom or bust. Fleener, did we pay him that money to play like that? And Ingram and Hightower? Blount blows them out of the water. Ingram has to do that consistently. He had a couple good runs but it's not enough. I feel that if we had a Elliot we could have a monster run any minute(like he did against Pittsburgh and D Murray did not care about GB's run defense neither did Jeremy Hill, LMurray against Denver's run defense). Look what Allen Robinson did to Houston's defense(even though they still lost he's all they really got).

So we can't make up excuse this defense was better against the run than SF that's why Ingram didn't do as well when we all know Jeremy Hill and Latavius Murray and Zeke say otherwise.

No player can ever truly blossom as a number one standout playing in this offense. They can be trained to be complimentary but at this point I feel there are better more stronger players that could do better than Thomas, Cooks, and the running game did today at even complimentary level but it's not far off to say it might be time to just give Brees one dynamic playmaker to make the big play for him and take teams away from some of the other receivers. Graham didn't work out when teams ganged up on him but that's not to mean it's with anyone. This is big football now among the top teams. Big as in explosive and consistent.

NE fans have said many times if we just had a competent defense we would be very dangerious.

Goalline stand to end a game - has to feel great for the 12s.

Do you know what NE does at home against Denver? Blow them out. In Foxbourough they have proven time and again not to have a answer for Gronkowski. Our receivers are not bullies against bullies.

Look what it took to beat NE last night. Wilson was on fire for much of the game, no picks and still barely won. If we played that Wilson we get killed.

I agree we need to run the ball better but have a lot of faith in our young receiving core.
