We have had some wacky games. In the past when we had a losing season it was like why even bother. This year is different. I don't know if it seeing the growth on defense combined with a fun as hell offense or what. It is very interesting to watch this year though. It's entertaining and I guess in the end that's what it is all about. We should have won several of those games.
I also think the players are playing with heart. We missed that the last couple years.

I long for the day we don't have to count on other teams losing for us to get anywhere.

With some proper coaching, this team could GO PLACES. Particularly, a place that puts Rings on Fingers.

As of this moment we don't. If the Saints win their last 7 games, they will be South Division champs no matter what else happens.

I'm not sure we're there yet. But the goal of winning the South is still in sight and in the Saints control. And will continue to be just as long as they win tonight.

It's literally one game at a time.

I'm not so balled up about this year. I hope we do well. I pull hard for us every week like always. But NEXT year is the one. The issues we have are correctable in a single off season me thinks. We have to get better on D, but we're closing in on that.

Hoping for a 6-10 season, media needs to turn up the heat on Payton.

I have no hope for this team until he leaves or he loses his ego and gets real coaches underneath him.

I don't think its the coach at all. We are lucky to have I'm. We are getting closer. we r much better than last season and will have a little money to spend. I do wish we would draft a little better. We have a top 5 corner and a top 5 tackle that have been injured all season. Next year is the year we get back to the playoffs and that was what I expected two years ago. We are close.

We can't finish as a team, hell last nights game the offense never started.

We always find new ways to lose and that falls squarely on Payton.

Brees is pressing so much he is becoming a turnover machine.

Defense cannot be blamed, in the last 4 out of 5 games the defense hasn't allowed a second half TD. Now where's this high flying number 1 offense, still stuck in neutral thats where.

We must have the dumbest owners in the league, even Cleveland know when to cut ties.

For 3 seasons we have started 0-3 or 0-4 and finished with a losing record, after 2 of those Payton gets a 5 year extension!

The team will continue this way, regardless of injuries until changes at the top are made.

Payton needs to fire some of his buddies or just resign himself, even if we are fully healthy next year guarantee we will find a way to start 0-3 yet again.

We could be 7-3 if we did one simple thing - run the hurry-up in key situations. We might be the only team in the modern NFL that refuses to run the hurry up.

We had the Panthers defense tired and on their heels even before Kuechly went out. Could have saved multiple minutes on the clock, yet still ran Hightower and took the short stuff Panthers were giving us. But there we go again with our ball-control-comeback offense.

Texas and so many other college teams have little problem implementing hurry-up offenses with freshman QB's and young O-lines. And I'm not asking to do it the whole game, just in some sequences during the 3rd and 4th quarter. There's no excuse.

If Drew wants to Win and be remembered with QB's like Elway, Marino and Manning I think this change needs to be made. Otherwise all these passing stats start to look a little hollow.

I really think our team is good enough to beat anyone, but young and inexperienced enough to lose to anyone also. As long as Brees doesn't spontaneously age, the next 2-3 years are going to be really good.

Carolina was in a Tampa 2 most of the night taking away all the deep throws. Our receivers just aren't good enough yet with their route running.
We needed some quick slants and back shoulder throws last night. Panthers D was too quick for the screen game to work. Drew needed to get rid of the ball quicker last night as well. Has to hit the check down receiver sooner.

We've seen the exact same story 4 years running.

2012: 5-5, dropped 3 straight, end 7-9
2014: 4-4, dropped 3 straight, end 7-9
2015: 4-4, dropped 4 straight, end 7-9
2016: 4-4, dropped 2 straight thus far...

Man I remember hoping for 7-9 just so we didn't have double digit losses. I know losing sucks, but it could be way worse. Years from now we will only remember the games, or plays, or the feeling we felt from winning it all or the feeling of pissing it away, but it was fun and provides a break from the daily grind. 10-6 is whats next. ;)

Our offense is just sluggish. Our tight end is sluggish. Ingram is sluggish. The offensive line does it's job but is sluggish. The offense wastes precious moments in our last minute come back. We are sluggish getting to the line and never appear aggressive no matter how much time is on the clock.

We need to run some no huddle or hurry up with some intensity and situational awareness for the clock and the number of time outs we have left. Let's not even talk about clock management or our use of time outs like they were draft picks that we can just throw away and hope that the system can take care of the problem.

On the other hand our young defense looks highly motivated.

Hell of an offense but we suck at everything else! The only reason we have 4 wins is because the defenses we played were just as bad as ours and our offense was better!

Recently, our D has been the only thing keeping us in games. Holding opponents to 3 points instead of 7 whenever the offense turns the ball over.

I know to win the football gods have to keep your starters healthy.

But watching the saints reach deep into the bench and scramble to plug holes has been fun. to a point

right now the glaring needs are there to see. then again some glaring needs were not as bad as I feared.

I believe it is a team sport and always used this belief to trash the new over time rules. Play full quarters till you have a winner even if it takes all night. empty the bench and let the best team win.

So all is exposed for all to see and not as bad as I feared. But some make me turn my head to shield them from my eyes. the pain is just to much to bare. It burns my eyes
