Re: Sean Payton disappointed in Saints’ special teams
WWL had Morten Andersen on the other night. He stated the problem appears to be both slow get off and a low trajectory. But he said both can be corrected, but it usually takes an off-season to do it.

Re: Sean Payton disappointed in Saints’ special teams
I don't blame Lutz from what I saw. There was ton of penetration on his right side along with real push up the middle allowing the guy in the middle to get that block. All that penetration on the right then turned into a convoy of blockers for Kuechly.
To be honest, Kuechly was probably in there as a last line of defense to guard the goalline against a fake or a broken play. The block field goal return was kind of a freak play the way it set up, but when you get push like the Panthers did, not really. |
Re: Sean Payton disappointed in Saints’ special teams
Why isn't Morten Andersen a hired "consultant"? He should be on permanent retainer with the Saints!
