I was one that thought McMahon should go after Thursday's game but the more I think about it, it isn't him who tried to catch the ball near the sideline and fumble it out at the 1. It's not him kicking the FG's and XP's too low that are being blocked.
Punt coverage is pretty good and so is kick coverage for the most part. The problem is the players executing. Issues catching the punts and kicks which falls on the players and to some degree the injuries we have where we have to activate certain players on game day and not keeping consistency on ST. We've got guys we signed off of the street playing ST. It would just be nice to evaluate this entire team and coaching staff with at least 80% of your starters healthy. So with this said I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the progress of our young players for the next 6 weeks and who knows, we might make some noise to end the year. |
