Next offseason we need to re-establish our identity
as one of the top offenses in the leagues, and near or at the top. That includes reclaiming our standing as the best offense in the division over the likes of Atlanta.
I would rather quit watching the NFL then admit our best offense could have been topped by someone in our division. |

We ARE the number one offense in the league statistically.

Re: Next offseason we need to re-establish our identity
It sure hasn't looked like it with our first halfs recently. And while statistically we are number one we're not a better offense than the clowns atm. We'll see if the second half schedule slows that down.

Identity? OL needs a piece or two.
But what is really missing from the playbook is the Reggie/ Sproles type of player. Defense I think we may have repeated that FA LB sweep from years ago. DL is coming around but a piece or two is needed Attitude is huge void in the secondary. swagger in more of a hop skip and a jump. This needs to be addressed big time. |

A lot of this is due to youth. It's hard to have swagger when you are an inexperienced player who should probably be on the practice squad first but are forced into starting. It's got to be a little intemidating going up against seasoned offensive players.

Re: Next offseason we need to re-establish our identity
Hey, this season AIN'T over yet, Bro...
There's plenty of football left to be played to not only establish our identity... But I want to see our opportunity like the S'hawks did us and have our day in the playoffs... Defense is gel-ling; did you not see that effort in coverage by Robertson on Ginn? (Who's catch was bullshinski as he was still cradling the ball as he slid out the back of the endzone, but that's done) D-line is learning to play together and with Byrd jettisoned next season, we're gonna have one helluva secondary... Hagan, hit it on the head, a couple of new road graders at the guard positions and with Peat making Armstead first round trade bait - lookthef*ckout... But this season ain't over; not by a long shot... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Swagger comes with confidence. Right now we don't have that......but by the end of this season we may have already started establishing this new identity. After all Laurinitis is gone and Robertson who looked like an after thought has stepped up nicely and been solid in the middle. We are young and have good players returning from IR next year. The Saints are young and talented. We need seasoning to get better. Oh yes, and a real special teams coach! Personally, I've given up on this season for the first time ever. Sadly I'm just not buying it the rest of this year. I seem to have misplaced my beer goggles. I'll be thirsty for Kool-Aid by training camp though. |

Far too much complacency and mediocrity on this team. |
