Identifying a weakness at linebacker and fixing it with a 3 safety formation, and having Craig Robinson man the middle has done wonders. Biggest gain was getting Rankins back on the field, now we can see a legitimate pass rush. Still have a ways to go but looks to be heading in the right direction.

Re: Saints Defense - Most Improved in NFL
More praise for Cam Jordan
https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro...n-nfl-week-11/ Edge defender: Cameron Jordan, New Orleans Saints, 89.7 Retaining his spot on the team of the week is Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan. Jordan didn’t get a sack this week, but pressured QB Cam Newton six times in 33 pass-rushing snaps, as well as batting a pass and collapsing the line to snuff several running plays. Jordan has been one of the best edge defenders in football since Week 4, and this was just another in a run of dominant games. |

Re: Saints Defense - Most Improved in NFL
The run defense has particularly improved.
Last season the Saints defense allowed an abysmal 4.9 yards per carry. Worst in the NFL. Over the first 3 weeks of this season the Saints allowed 5.0 yards per carry. Worst in the NFL Over the last 3 games the Saints have only allowed 3.0 yards per carry, best in the NFL over that time. For the season the Saints are allowing 3.9 yards per carry, 10th in the NFL. |
