Re: Saints crumble against Bucs - Another disappointing loss
I watched the entire fourth quarter of the Seattle/Green Bay game hoping they would, you know, cut over to a game that was actually close. They never even mentioned the Bucs or the Saints or the score of the game the entire time. Fox and this damn league are a disgrace, time for the Saints to join the CFL, but we'd need to get our offense on track LOL.

Here in Indy they went to the Saints Bucs with 8:00 minutes left in the game. The ticker at the bottom of the screen showed the Saints score from start to finish.

Re: Saints crumble against Bucs - Another disappointing loss
I knew we were gonna lose this game or week 16. The thing is, we had a chance to win this game. I feel Brees thinks he's entitled. He obviously wants someone to give him a reason to win. He's not young hungry qb anymore. He does not have that same energy and I have even noticed he's lost weight. Brees used to have a beer belly. I think he played better with that. Suddenly our team has to move hell and thunder for him to win. He needs short fields or he can't win.
So he has a bad oline but when you are at the endzone like that and don't make plays I don't know what to say. Throwing ints like that against a team who's gonna get destroyed at home in the wild card round. And let's say Ingram has no line to run behind. What about when he had that 8 yard run? There's gonna be a opportunity to get a big run. L'eveon Bell would have made a TD out of that hell. Ingram can't. But let's defense him some more. Sometimes you make lemonade out of lemons. Even if we win next year I won't take back anything I said this year. We would only be winning next year because of the cap room. It's not going to change the perception Brees and SP will get when compared to the other greats. You don't just make the playoffs when you have a sb winning year. That's why I am hoping the packers or giants get to the NFCCG so we have a hard time getting back there(and I'd rather Brees retire with one ring and no rings for the other three in division than 2 rings and one of them having one). I want us to work for it and take a few years. And if Brees doesn't get there, too bad. Two rings is not gonna do anything to change any opinions on us. What people have said about us they are right. Time to face the music. This organization has put us through pure hell to satisfy their agenda. |

I'm surprised the Bucs didnt carry Payton off the field on their shoulders.

Cooks, on the other hand, is "complaining" yet he misjudged a pass slowing down before hauling butt to the end zone and missing a sure TD by a step. I saw a lot of drops, something all too familiar with this team. Some are rather sad and lead to INT's. I think the missing link is since WR coach Curtis Johnson left the Saints in 2012 to become head coach at Tulane, the offense has never been the same. WR's have been bumbling and dropping balls since 2012. Before that, our team had some of the surest hands in the NFL. No offense to current WR coach John Morton, but there's been a LOT of drops and unnecessary drama at that position, and the skill set has faded since Curtis Johnson left. I also blame Sean Payton. It's just not the same since Bountygate. Peace out. |
