Cooks, on the other hand, is "complaining" yet he misjudged a pass slowing down before hauling butt to the end zone and missing a sure TD by a step.

I saw a lot of drops, something all too familiar with this team. Some are rather sad and lead to INT's.

I think the missing link is since WR coach Curtis Johnson left the Saints in 2012 to become head coach at Tulane, the offense has never been the same. WR's have been bumbling and dropping balls since 2012. Before that, our team had some of the surest hands in the NFL.

No offense to current WR coach John Morton, but there's been a LOT of drops and unnecessary drama at that position, and the skill set has faded since Curtis Johnson left.

I also blame Sean Payton. It's just not the same since Bountygate.

Peace out.
Brees and Cooks aren't getting the reps during the week that used to happen in the past with Colston, Graham, Moore, etc. The timing of the, what should have been a TD, pass was off with Cooks. The chemistry with this team is just not where it needs to be.

This isn't all on Brees. Two TD passes were dropped. Sean Payton refuses to mix in the run; even when the game is close, or just needing a yard to continue a drive. Not to mention clock management.

This game was on the head coach.

I'm surprised the Bucs didnt carry Payton off the field on their shoulders.

Its the offense that's killing us, has been for quite a lot of the season.

13 points in Lions game
13 points in the Giants game
11 points in this game

Not to mention Brees has 6 picks and 0 TD's in the last 2 weeks, the whole offense has 13 turnovers in the last 6 games, ridiculous.

Cooks complaining and then misses 2 easy TD's. He is a "decent" player but not irreplaceable, I'm ready for the team to clean house and start again.

I was thinking on those dropped balls by Cooks... He was probably like, "damn, I just talked all that crap and I've dropped these balls." Trade him while we can I say, not sure how that rookie contract affects that.

Wondering if Brees may be banged up, he doesn't have the same zip on the ball that he had earlier in the year. I just don't know how to explain a QB like him having such bad games with the season on the line...

Good point...and of course the team would never disclose that information.
I thought I noticed Brees rubbing his right hand a few times in the second half.

Re: Saints crumble against Bucs - Another disappointing loss

The interior of the offensive line was horrible yesterday for three and a half quarters. The run game was horrible because of it so Payton does what he always does and abandoned it for the short passing game. I know for a fact that two of the ints were thrown against the same coverage, nickel robber, where the FS comes down. They knew we were going to throw deep so they took their chances.

No Max Unger. I didnt see the game I just know he was hurt. We just dont have a good line, or definitely do not have depth
