He's not young hungry qb anymore. He does not have that same energy and I have even noticed he's lost weight. Brees used to have a beer belly. I think he played better with that. Suddenly our team has to move hell and thunder for him to win. He needs short fields or he can't win.....
I disagree with you on Brees. He was definitely off today and he wasn't sharp the past two weeks, but otherwise he looks exactly the same. The forced INT's - we've seen this before.

Cooks, on the other hand, is "complaining" yet he misjudged a pass slowing down before hauling butt to the end zone and missing a sure TD by a step.

I saw a lot of drops, something all too familiar with this team. Some are rather sad and lead to INT's.

I think the missing link is since WR coach Curtis Johnson left the Saints in 2012 to become head coach at Tulane, the offense has never been the same. WR's have been bumbling and dropping balls since 2012. Before that, our team had some of the surest hands in the NFL.

No offense to current WR coach John Morton, but there's been a LOT of drops and unnecessary drama at that position, and the skill set has faded since Curtis Johnson left.

I also blame Sean Payton. It's just not the same since Bountygate.

Peace out.

Brees and Cooks aren't getting the reps during the week that used to happen in the past with Colston, Graham, Moore, etc. The timing of the, what should have been a TD, pass was off with Cooks. The chemistry with this team is just not where it needs to be.
