There are going to be a lot of openings for HC's this year.

He is already the league's highest paid coach. Couple that with the fact that he remains a short flight from his children in Dallas, something which he has repeatedly pointed out as being vital, points to him going nowhere.

Highly unlikely.

When Dallas chokes in the playoffs, desperation when set in with Jerry and he'll capitulate to Payton...

He'll be no puppet there...

Gotta think he'd like to be with his son during these formative years...

Dallas has got the personnel in place...

L.A. would be closer to his daughter...

All the people year after year, trying to shoehorn Payton into inevitably leaving the Saints and coaching the Dallas Cowboys, need to cool your jets a little bit....it's like people have this phobia about it, it's almost bordering on irrationality.

Jerry Jones is 74.

Average male life expectancy is 78.74 years.

Tom Benson is 89.

Payton just signed a five-year extension, highest paid coach in the NFL, he becomes available again in 2021....

That is Sean Payton's master plan, if you ask me....he wants to coach the Cowboys, sure, but only after the micro-managing meddling and toxic Jerry Jones is out of the picture, or when he's so advanced in age as to be a completely "hands-off" owner that is uninvolved in football operations, like Benson is now. That's the type of scenario that Payton wants, right?

Sure Sean Payton would love to coach at Dallas. I don't really doubt that. I just don't believe he is in any hurry to get there. He's still young, and the Cowboys will still be there for him, long after Jerry is no longer meddling with the team.

Something to think about here...
If these trade rumors are legitimate, then SP is in on it. No way Loomis would trade him without his consent or approval. Maybe this explains why he was coaching w so much passion this past Sunday against the Cardinals - showcasing and auditioning for another team??

There are no rumors. All there was is a speculation that was shared by a hack that has not reported on anything "legitimate" in ... forever. This is how virtually ALL false rumors start.

The daughter, Meghan, is in college. The son, Connor, will be playing high school football in Dallas for the next two years. Being able to easily get to his son's games is important to him. He said the time he spent with his son's football team while he was on suspension showed him how much he had been missing and that seeing his children in their endeavors was now very important.
