Saints Memoribilia
To my wife\'s constant dismay I have a quite considerable collection of Saints stuff:
For autographed items I have authentic helmets signed Rickey Jackson and Deuce McAllister. I have signed mini helmets from Aaron Brooks, George Rogers, Earl Campbell. For pictures I have Pat Swilling, Rickey Jackson, Sam Mills, Vaughan Johnson, Wayne Martin, George Rogers, Ricky Williams, Mario Bates, Troy Davis, Hokie Gajan, and Archie Manning. I also have a Pro Bowl photo of Swilling, Jackson, Mills, Johnson, Morten Andersen and Joel Hilgenberg signed by all of them. I have a Wilson gold ball signed by about 15 of this years team. The biggest item is Mel Mitchell\'s gold jersey from the December game this year vs. the Vikings. It was the game worn one and he signed it and I bought it from the United Way charity sale. There is a ton more small stuff and unsigned memorabilia....the basement is a shrine. |

The bad part is that I live in Northern Canada and have never seen the Saints play live. I\'ve been to New Orleans once in June. I do have Satellite so I can watch and tape every game, but I envy those that can be there. I have a couple friends that live in that area now and they\'ve been pretty resourceful helping me add to my shrine.

That is a very impressive collection for a man outside the area .

I wish I had more, but my collection is a lot broader than just SAINTS stuff. I have an autographed football from Manning and a appx. 12X20 team photo with about 25-30 signatures (Jackson, Swilling, Andersen, Hebert, etc.)
But in my extended collection, I have an autographed game helmet and a football signed by Warren Moon. I also have autographed basketballs from both championship seasons from the Rockets (all players signed). I have baseballs signed by Catfish Hunter, Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, Nolan Ryan, Ken Camanitti, Roger Clemens, Jose Cruz, Luis Gonzales and some negro leaguers (Buck O\'Neil and Dave Pope). Ryan also signed some ltd. edit. artwork for me. I have a Michael Jordan autographed 8X10 photo and misc. autographs from pro golfers, boxers, soccor players, tennis players (mostly women), track stars (Carl Lewis), gymnasts (Retton, etc), swimmers, etc. I even have a few celebrity pieces, mu favorite being a script from M*A*S*H autographed by Alan Alda (he wrote the episode and won an Emmy for it). Oh, and I have a photo autographed to me from Truck Robinson of the Jazz when I was a kid. The best part of it is that I used to work in sports marketing and got almost all of it signed myself when I met these guys at events. David in Houston |
