A SP trade rumor that would at least make sense
 

1) ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that Gary Kubiak is likely stepping down after Sunday's game amid health concerns.

2) The Denver Broncos are projected to be $30,225,385 UNDER the cap (all salary info via Over The Cap) for 2017 and with only 38 players under contract. I will be surprised if the Bronco do not grab a player early in free agency.

Enter the Saints Drew Bress and Sean Payton and a chance for both to get a ring right away .

Drew Bress $13 million, 2018: Free Agent

Of course this would cost multi picks but it would be an instant fix in Denver much like Manning was. History repeats itself?

New Orleans Saints currently 15th in the draft order

Now this would be a rumor that makes sense for all parties involved. Everyone but saints fans.

Delusional if you really think this is gonna happen. I said it in chat, as long as Benson is breathing and still in control of the team, SP is not going anywhere.

The number that makes my eyes pop is 30 mil under the cap. We need some of that relief, so in theory maybe we would trade them some bad contracts as a part of the deal cough cough Byrd cough cough.

I am with you on this. the other option just seemed too stupid. This whole thing is crazy.

But this morning I heard the news out of Denver and thought finally something that made sense for all parties involved.

will it happen? i doubt Benson would allow it.

If SP is not part of the solution, he has to be part of the problem. Three 7-9 seasons is unacceptable. At some point you have to say enough is enough. I'm not in favor of Doug Marrone taking over either.

In defense of SP they haven't had much money to work with. They sold their soul for another run at the playoffs and got burned. I want to see what he can do now that they have money.
