Don't know how to be a fan of any other team. Began Nov. 1st 1966 when franchise was born. At Tulane stadium for opening kick Sept. 17, 1967.
Currently residing in Houston since 1975; having 2 different teams during residency and the thought of calling my self an Oilers fan or Texans fan was appalling. Didn't even jump ship when Ditka was named head coach; but did have to wear life jacket. And yes I continued to watch entire 2nd half of game 16 Sunday.

So 81 if we are not passionate enough for you, then get the FLOCK out of here.

Did I say I was a fantasy first fan? I have actually not been that or else I would not be always on the chat during games. Fantasy is important to me but I have been watching for the saints. I'm a Brees first fan in terms of his status it did not mean i was not a saints fan. When you have an elite qb contending against history, you have to realize he deserves what he deserves to help him succeed and that's a offensive line. We all know Brees would take another team to a championship, either a top 5 defense or top notch OL like Dallas and Tennessee(to playoffs and division titles at least until defense gets improved). But he could be declining now and no one has a definite answer.

Lelito was unproven. He played well because he was a backup to Goodwin and no one was game planning for him. Then he gets moved to a position he's never even played. That was putting a bandaid on the oline.

You need to stop *****ing about what happened to Drew Brees dude. He signed the contracts to stay here every damn year. He knows what you don't -- there is no I in team. And, building a SB contender is a lot harder than you seem to think it is.

The above is not to let coaching and management off the hook. But, coaching and management don't need to build a SB contending team for Drew Brees -- they need to do it because it is their job. Drew Brees can leave if he believes that he can go back to the SB with another team.

Dude. We have guys on this board who filled the seats in Tulane Stadium &
waited 21 years for a single winning season. I only go back to 1982.
Im from Houston, and I've bled black & gold for over 30 something years. I've seen more bad teams than good ones, and enough hopelessness to go around.
But Im back every year, up to game 16. I GO to the games. And If they had moved after the Storm, to San Antonio, I would have quit football. period.
These are the best fans in not just football, but all of sports.
We support the team, (although, we b*tch and moan, like all fans, and wring hands, but we still SHOW UP TO THE DOME.) We support the city. and we support each other.

Building a sb contender is hard but not so much a playoff team. Not everyone in the playoffs is a threat to go to the sb. I will give you two of them........giants and texans.

Can you honestly say with the 2011 defensive stats, the offense we had last year is like 2011? Bottom line, the offense looked bad in games in the past that were winnable. We probably beat Detroit and NYG with Graham. We don't get swept by Atlanta. If oline isn't the problem, the receivers are.

You can't really call yourself a Saints fan if you are a fan of an individual player, first.

I'm a team first guy. I want the entire team to do great. Now, do I have a favorite Saints player? Yes. Yes I do. Dalton Hillard, then Archie, then Pat Swilling.... you get the point.

What happened to Eli last year when he played the pats? Also, giants two sb wins were due to having easy first round matchups followed by rematches where they used past losses in game film to exploit teams. They did not get GB's best week 5 and I expect them to get blown out.
