Hasbeen vs Saban

Yes sports fans , coming to a sports center near you . The battle between 2 Louisianna legends .

Nick Saban - the wanted coach by many Saints faithful to lead the Saints to the promised land much the way he lead the Tigers to the National Championship .The man who put Baton Rouge back on the map and started the jokes flowing in Louisianna about Baton Rouge getting an N.F.L. franchise . Of course they won't get one , because then New Orleans would want one .

Jim Hasbeen - Well certainly a Louisianna legend , in his own mind .

Round one - T Buck

Gotta call it like I see it here , Hasbeen tries to draw Saban in with the low draft pick and current contract and Saban does not flinch . Hasbeen is then forced into the corner and let T Buck go with a cap hit to the Saints . Saban swoops in and gets T Buck for next to nothing , where he could play better at his natural position . It's that strong right move by Saban that has Hasbeen face down on the canvas at the end of round one .

More round to follow as they happen ..... ;)

I am not real sure about this move on Saban\'s part. Is T-Buc riding Sammy Knight\'s coat tails or what? If he signs with the Cheifs after Sammy is done their I will be 100%. I really think this is a reach on Saban\'s part and he is paying for what he is getting!

That\'s why he makes the big bucks.

Why would Miami give us a pick, when they knew that we had to cut him anyway? Shouldn\'t this be Loomis vs. Saban. Since both are responsible for making the personeel moves?

I agree with FireVent. It\'s not Haslett\'s deal, it\'s Loomis\'. Besides, I personally think Saban got the sh** at the end of the stick. He has no idea what he gotten himself into. How can you say Saban made a good move? Besides, if you really want to compare the moves.....Haslett picked up Dwight Smith and parted ways with an overrated underachieving, poor tackling safety. Sounds to me that Saban is the one who\'s gonna get a kick in the n*ts. Have fun with T-Sucky Saban. The 400,000 cap hit is worth not having that moron on the roster. xrotflmao:

Probably, but we like to let 08 have his fun. :smile_bounce:

The final call always comes down to Loomis , but the Head Coach has his list of players for the team . Like T Bucky in the trade that brought him to New Orleans , Hasbeen liked him and Loomis gets the deal done .

Strong GM\'s or Owners with puppet coaches like anyone who has ever coached in Oakland , wakes up to find some new players on the roster .

Sure we can twist it to make the GM\'s the men , but it came down to 1 Head Coach saying I do not want him on the team and 1 Head Coach saying I would have him on the team and use his talents properly .

Seemed like Mueller had his own way of doing things in New Orleans which you could tell from the trades and players brought in , once Mueller stepped out of the picture it seemed as though every write up indicated Hasbeen was heavily involved as somehow he had managed to gain total control .

The draft might be the indicator to Saints fans who is in control .

I dont know how you can compare the two 08. I mean one\'s not accomplished anything in the nfl yet, and the other has proved he\'s pretty good. Lets dont forget how bad the Saints were before Haz got here. I think Haz needs more support, insted of everyone booing or calling for his job everytime something goes wrong. (Brooks to for that matter)
