And Martez Wilson, who IIRC was the fastest LB in the draft that year.

Yeah, the whole "Payton hates LSU players" is pretty dumb and its wearing thin.

I don't think it helped that he was drafted as an inside linebacker from a 3-4 defense and we changed his position 3 times before releasing him.

Middle linebacker, to outside backer and then finally moved to DE under spags, then released.

Plus joe vitt coached him, that's a death sentence if anyone needed one pointed out to them.

But 2 other teams picked him up and released him as well.

Vitt wasn't the problem. Martez Wilson was the problem

The Patriots haven't won all these SBs because they had built for speed. example: Patrick Robinson (CJ Spiller, Heyward-Bay). I think we're all in consensus that Rickey Jackson was much better than Pat Swilling.

Elite HC, elite GM, elite QB, above average coaching staff, solid drafting, rarely over pay players, solid FA picks up etc, etc. I try to exclude the Pats in team comparison.

They aren't the norm.

I agree, and I'm an LSU fan and would've loved to get Jones. But if you gave me the choice again I'd take Thomas every damn time.

Hi. I am from Washington State and have always been a die-hard Seahawks fans since they began and they're from my state that's a given. And I'm no guru or expert but I am Sports enthusiast and I have always been in awe about how a person can keep this specific gift of seeing a play develop before it happens. And you guys are in for a treat. Not only should that defense be speedy but they've got to be smart they've gotta know when they're being decoyed and they've got or no and get used to the opposition's snap count. I also believe that once you got all that figured out then you got to know how to tackle the guy that's coming at you or the guy your going after. That's an overwhelming amount to handle. But I have been proven wrong and I really believe that Adam bighill my nephew is going to change your way of thinking. He is it going to show everyone that the term student of the game pays off tremendously this boy has such a special knack for seeing you play develop and knowing when that ball is going to be snapped I know you're all saying that he's a relative so naturally he's the best in my eyes, but I would not put myself on this post if I didn't firmly believe that Adam is going to help the Saints get there. I grew up liking the Saints when I was a kid and I still do I love Drew breezes play and three I think three of your receivers have records and within the team for receiving yards and all that and I just can't stress enough for you to please check out Adam bighill I really think you're going to understand what I'm saying when you see him play. I wouldn't have believed it myself if I didn't see it with my own eyes since his senior year in high school. Even with colleges turning him down and almost not making you the CFL try out or just getting people to look at him I've always known hands down that he's going to be picked and when he's picked Lookout so go Saints and I'm just getting with excitement because I know you guys are really going to like it okay I'm done now I'll stop talking.go Saints

Welcome to the board,

Adam Bighill?

I am looking forward to seeing what he can do. My first reaction to the signing and looking into him was oh goodie another mighty mouse sigh. In the next breath I muttered Sam Mills. Lesson learned. If DA gave his approval to bring him in then there something there he wants. In DA I trust.

One thing I really like about saints fans is the way they will be behind you as soon as you put on the uniform. We love hard nose players that just love the game. We are also huge suckers for under the radar signing. We live for the "Who the heck is this guy?" to step up and show us he can play. Saints fans are a loyal bunch.

If he gets his chance on special teams in year one and plays well, he will get all the support he needs from the stands. We are an educated bunch and know how to look deep into a bench to see talent.

Best of luck to him and I can not wait for him to hit the field.
