Re: 2017 NFL ProDays - Saints Prospects

Didn't like him for our No. 11 pick at all because of his lack of physical presence (e.g. Keenan Lewis lite)...

But I don't like to see this happen to the young man as he lost a lot of money with this injury...

He's a 3-4 OLB that the Steelers are looking to have...Not long enough to set the edge as a 4-3 DE...

Re: 2017 NFL ProDays - Saints Prospects

Oklahoma State

-RB Christopher Carson (5-11 7/8, 215) jumped 39 inches in the vertical, had a 4.29-second short shuttle and a 7.50 three-cone time. He looked good in position drills, especially catching the ball.

» TE Blake Jarwin (6-5 1/8, 246) ran two 40-yard dashes in 4.76 and 4.69 seconds, had a 34 1/2-inch vertical, a 10-foot-1 broad jump, a 4.34-second short shuttle, a 7.37-second three-cone, and had 21 reps on the bench press. The former walk-on at OSU caught the ball very well in position drills. He's a straight-line tight end who is projected to be drafted late on Day 3 or become a priority free agent.

Bama
DT Dalvin Tomlinson (6-2 3/4, 311) had 22 lifts on the bench press and looked outstanding in drills. He's a very interesting prospect. He turned down scholarship offers to a Yale and Harvard coming out of high school, where he was a state champion in wrestling and a goalkeeper on the soccer team (he's also an artist and dabbles with the trumpet).

OK
LB Jordan Evans (6-2 7/8, 232) ran the 40 in 4.51 and 4.50 seconds, had a 4.27-second short shuttle, a 7.00 three-cone, and 19 bench lifts. He's projected as an undrafted free agent.

Not too bad a 40 time (4.7 sec) for Marquel Lee, 6' 3", 245 lbs linebacker...

Ever since we drafted Stanley Arnoux and Chip Vaughn in the same draft, I haven't been fond of "talent" from Wake Forest.

Three huge players from that feared Defense fizzled out in under 3 years, Hawks LB - Curry, and we drafted the other 2.

Re: 2017 NFL ProDays - Saints Prospects

Arnoux and Vaughn were beasts in Madden though;

I'd move them to LB and blitzes were money...

Hey JP,

No way we draft a white RB in the first round, LMAO.

The pick has to be D with the #11 I love Foster or Riddick here.

How would you use TJ Watt? Sam LB who plays DE in sub-packages?

Watt can play all the linebacking positions, except maybe a rover back or a MLB on an island by himself...

He really ran well at his Pro Day...

Just because I want, Payton and DA won't select him; they'll trade a first rounder for Butler...e'lah

Re: 2017 NFL ProDays - Saints Prospects

MONTANA STATE
OL John Flynn (6-5 3/4, 310) ran the 40 in 5.15 and 5.19 seconds, had a 30.5-inch vertical, an 8-8 broad jump, a 4.73-second short shuttle, a 7.05-second three-cone, and 21 bench-press reps. He's got good arm length at 33 3/8 inches, and should be a priority free agent.

Arkansas
WR Dominique Reed (6-1 7/8, 182) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.45 and 4.39 seconds, had a 40-inch vertical, a 10-foot-4 broad jump, a 4.50 short shuttle, and a 6.82-second three-cone drill. He only was able to get up six reps on the bench press, however. The 4.39 40 and his vertical would have each ranked third among wide receivers at the combine.

TE Jeremy Sprinkle (6-4 7/8, 253) ran the 40 in 4.65 and 4.60 seconds, had a 30.5-inch vertical, a 9-8 broad jump, a 4.53-second short shuttle, a 7.09-second three-cone, and added 15 bench-press lifts. He's a good tight end in a very deep tight end class.

UTEP
LB Nick Usher (6-3 1/4, 235) wasn't invited to the combine but his pro day numbers should be enough to make him a priority free agent. He ran the 40 in 4.78 and 4.69 seconds, had a 31-inch vertical, a 9-10 broad jump, a 4.57 short shuttle, and a 7.50 three-cone drill. He also had 19 lifts, a pretty decent feat for someone with 34.5-inch arms.
