How can anyone say we have no chance to get anything of value with an extra 1st round pick and an extra 3rd round pick. Thats just dumb. |

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
I just hate that we gave up a pick. #32 and a 3rd is a pretty fair deal for a proven top 10 commodity. Why in the hell did we have to give up anything? I had a feeling we would come out on the short end of the deal if we dealt with the pats..sigh

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
How much you want to bet he will be on another team next year. No way are the Pats going to pay that bill. He'll be in a Browns uniform a year from now.
I'm fine with it. Good draft for D. We can likely create an average one with this move. |

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
No value in the 32 pick in one of the deepest drafts in history?
We didn't get Butler because he is a FA next year. A system QB the Pats didn't want to pay. And according to reports wants north of 14ml next year |

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
![]() I could see a 2 or 3rd doing the deal on draft day. They need to speak to Butlers agent first and see what he is after. Id give them their 3rd back but not the 2nd |

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
I hope the leave Butler trade alone. The guy isn't that good. Malcolm is 5'10, how in the hell he going to face the 6'5 giants? He run a 4.6, can you see him keeping up with desean Jackson, Corey brown, & Julio? The guy fits a cover 2 scheme. He can't play man like DA like to run

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
It's only a good trade if we don't blow these 1st Rd picks. I will say that on the surface New England got the better deal. They got a proven playmaker and all we got was potential. Cooks was worth more than the 32nd pick.

Re: Brandin Cooks Officially Traded to Patriots
Could it be possible there is going to be more to this trade? Butler has yet to sign his tenured contract. He can't be traded till he signs. Maybe there is a condition that cannot be announced that Butler is part of the deal once he signs. Otherwise this was a steal for the Pats in my opinion.
