DUDE I TELLING YALL THAT THE 1ST RD PICK FOR BUTLER WILL NOT BE TILL 2018 DRAFT IT WILL NOT ALTER 2017 DRAFT PICKS. IMO

I believe I've answered that before. Butler hasn't signed his RFA tender offer. He cannot be traded until he does so.

Cooks was due a $750K roster bonus in early March. He needed to be traded before that deadline. Butler was unavailable to the Pats to offer at the time.

And per the NFL rules, the Patriots can't even talk about trading him until he signs his tender. It's considered negotiating in bad faith.
