I would even trade 11 and 32 if I could get him. Why go defense when he is going to keep our defense off the field IMO and wear theirs out. |

I'm still not playing. I'd pick a defensive end or linebacker BPA.

I felt the same way but after watching old videos of young Blount and AP and the Pats, especially this year in the RZ. Blount was money almost every single time. Only 2 games he did not score and hit paydirt 18 times. Very difficult stopping that big man.

It's pretty easy to conclude that improving the offense is not likely to result in more wins. Let's look at the 2013 numbers in comparison: Offense: 10th @ 25.9 PPG Defense: 4th at 19 PPG Record: 11-5 and a playoff bearth. Hmmm. I wonder what's different here... It's not the offense, which scoringwise has been better the last 3 years as opposed to 2013. I'll be blunt: Picking offense is dumb. We don't need QB and we have 2 left tackles. There's simply no offensive position that currently requires a first round pick to fill. I'd be perfectly happy if the Saints expended every pick on defensive players to help improve the defense. There is no way you watched one college game last year if you don't pick LF7 there. The guy is a flat out beast. Best rb in years and will show that his rookie year. Imagine if he had coach O all 3 years! A true pro style offense where the qb has the chance to throw more than 5 times a game. No 9 men in th box every play. This kid is going to be a better version of Eddie George.

Re: If you had to go Offense at #11...
If LF showed out against Alabama i can say yea pick him if he is there but he laid an egg every year against the closes pro team defense he would face in college plus injury history pick the best defensive player available. It dont matter if we score 50 a game when the d gives up 51

Nor OL L. Colins in the 7th another year when we could've had him. All the silly GMs were scared off for silly reasons. |

All the silly GMs were scared off because his agent said if he wasn't signed by round 2 he would sit out for a year before re-entering the draft a year later.

Re: If you had to go Offense at #11...
I hate the entire idea of this.
We've tried the best-offense / worst-defense combo for three years now and have 21 wins to show for it. Enough with the toys. |
