Want to improve special teams play? Quality backups at LB are one of the main keys. Not saying he is an answer, just saying.

I'm guessing he gets a deal similar to Okafor- low risk/base, high incentive.

He's glass like Ellerbe...maybe we can 16 games out of the pair.

Today's Trivia: he would make Saint #4 from Hawaii on our current roster

If he'll dedicate the same amount of work into his craft as he did in pretending he had a girlfriend - and later that she was dead - then the sky is the limit.

I would like to know what transpired that made coaching staff give up on him before he even hit the field. I am hoping that this is just bringing in competition to make him better. ~~~Stephone Anthony~~~

Allen didn't draft him, thats why. He played much better than I would have ever thought his 1st season with that gaping hole in what we had on the front line, he was like the lone man standsing everytime stoping a rb that could have did alot more damage than they did. Enter Allen and he acts like the kid is junk, I'm calling BS on this one. Allen never give this kid a chance to develop and has possibly screwed up a good player. And Paytons going to back his boy Allen. If Allen screws the pooch and don't field a decent ranking D this season him and Payton need to go.

Why are people thinking we are bringing in starters? You don't bring in people to replace anyone in particular at this point. You bring in people to compete for roster spots in whatever capacity. If Te'o make the squad and contributes in a positive manner then fantastic.

And, as long as he is a Saint, let's try to drop the ridicule. Being supportive is more constructive. I'm sure each of us has had something happen to us in our past that we would rather be left alone.

Having a sense of humor is not a bad thing. Everybody makes mistakes, but it's not every day you hear that someone has faked the very existence of a person and gotten millions of people worked up about the "death" of said person. That's a little bit different from the norm.

I guess you didn't hear the whole story. Someone actually admitted to tricking him. He didn't make anything up. He was duped by someone. He was taken advantage of. The bad part is that even after he had to go through the initial shame, he is being forced to put up with the fact that many people, such as yourself, never did learn the real facts, or have chosen to ignore them for the pleasure of ridicule. I'm hoping that others around here are not second category. Humor is fine, but not at the expense of others. Then it simply becomes cruelty.

It's been a few years, and I don't remember every single detail, though yes, I do remember he got tricked. However, didn't he continue, after finding out the truth, to pretend that he had a girlfriend and then that she had died? And thought nobody would look into it?

No. He had been trying to meet the faked girl in person and was told by someone connected with the ruse that she had just died when they got backed into a corner. To make matters worse, it was on the same day as his own grandmother passed. The kid went through hell. I have nothing but respect for him that he has made it through that ridicule and has the strength to continue to live with the misconceptions still out there in the public. That tells me he is tough.
