BUT...

If the dude contributes to the team and falls in top 3 in tackles or is superman on special teams.... who cares what he did or what he said?

Doing a little research and it seems Te'o was moved to inside linebacker his JR year when ND went to a 3-4 defense. Up until that point he was an OLB. Guessing that's the role he'll fill here. He's good in coverage as well, so that's improved across the board with Robertson and Klein.

Could see more 4-2 fronts with 3 safeties on the field. Would make sense with the meetings with some of the top safeties

I liked him coming out of college. I never thought he should've been such a high pick but if he stays healthy this is a good signing. No one can say that we are not trying to improve the defense. I still think the biggest question mark is DE.
