We have more than Atlanta from that link but they have something we don't have:

lets review.

Larry Warford G 25 DET NO 4/$34,000,000 $3,800,000

Nick Fairley DT 29 NO NO 4/$28,000,000 $3,000,000

A.J. Klein ILB 25 CAR NO 4/$24,000,000 $2,800,000

Ted Ginn Jr. WR 31 CAR NO 3/$11,000,000 $3,000,000

Manti Te'o ILB 26 LAC NO 2 /$5,000,000 $2,050,000

Alex Okafor OLB 26 ARI NO 1/$2,000,000 $2,000,000

Travaris Cadet RB 28 NO NO 1/$855,000 $695,000

Sterling Moore CB 27 NO NO N/A

Ted Ginn Jr. and Manti Te'o or $16 million of contract money or $5 million in cap space I am not excited about. Rather we spent on

Ricky Wagner RT 27 BAL DET 5/$47,500,000 $5,900,000

Micah Hyde SS 26 GB BUF 5/$30,500,000 $4,000,000

Marcus Cooper CB 27 ARI CHI 3/$16,000,000 $5,000,000

Kevin Minter ILB 26 ARI CIN 1/$4,250,000 $4,250,000

Lawrence Guy DE 27 BAL NE 4/$13,400,000 $2,600,000

Datone Jones OLB 26 GB MIN 1/$3,750,000 $3,718,750

Justin Hunter WR 25 BUF PIT 1/$855,000 $695,000

Made out like a bandit
Rex Burkhead RB 26 CIN NE 1/$3,150,000

Teo makes much more sense to me than Ginn. Why we needed him as a day one signing is beyond me.
And I'm in the minority on Fairley, but I still think we overpaid

So there was really no need to restructure him unless they have plans for that space. I wonder if something big is in the works. Maybe a butler trade?

Yup. No need to exercise the conversion option unless they have plans for using the space this season. This is a characteristic of Loomis contracts. The true cap is never what it seems on the surface. Most media hacks couldn't balance a check book, so they sure don't have a clue about operating within the bounds of an NFL cap.

It all depends on how you look at it. There is also a great deal more available through true contract restructures/extensions.

And another 7. some odd after june 1

It's gotta be Butler, right?

And you're right, the cap manipulations are why GM's need to have CFO/CEO Skills. Just hire solid football guys for draft and free-agency expertise.

I think we have the new normal front office structure.

We had enough loose change behind the seat cushion to re-sign Tapp. No need to convert to raise $5 million for that.
