If they can't get that, then you can bet they will be asking for the Saints to pony up on extra picks, either in this draft or next year's. Neither of those things would be wise for a short cornerback who has succedeed only for a short period of time on a team that is notorious for making average players look like stars, in my humble opinion. It's why the Pats are always so willing to trade guys away. They know they don't need them.![]()
How any NFL team can still fall for this same trick by the Patriots, is beyond me. Learn a lesson, and stay away from the Patriots. |

If the #11 isn't an option then nothing matters until Butler signs the waiver. THAT is the holdup. Nothing can happen until then. You can only negotiate to trade (within the rules) a player that is currently under contract. Butler isn't.
