From today's Boston Globe:
In Seattle, an interesting battle is shaping up over who will become general manager. Seahawks owner Paul Allen favors ex-Saints GM Randy Mueller, while team president Bob Whitsitt is split between ex-Saints president/GM Bill Kuharich and head coach Mike Holmgren's top choice, vice president of football operations Ted Thompson. Allen fears Thompson will be too easily influenced by Holmgren even though Allen forced his coach to relinquish his powers as general manager. With outside shots are ex-Denver and Arizona GM Bob Ferguson and local favorite Steve Largent, the Hall of Fame wide receiver who entered into the mix Thursday. If Allen, Whitsitt, and Holmgren can't settle on one name, Kuharich might emerge as the compromise candidate. Tough question to answer :casstet: |
