If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
Mar. 22 - The Steelers' top priority next month will be signing wide receiver Hines Ward to a contract extension, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. "We'll probably start that discussion sometime after the draft," team president Art Rooney told the newspaper. Ward will earn $1,668,750 this season.
Holy crap. And Joe would only have made 4.7 mil without a new contract. Poor Joe. And yes I do think Ward is better than Joe. ;) |

If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
Bravo whodi, bravo!
Hines Ward is widely considered, pound for pound, the best football player in the league, and probably the most respected. It\'s been said that he could play any position on the field if he wanted. He is a great blocker downfield, and he\'s not too shabby a reciever either. But some will say that since Joe put up better STATS than most recievers that he is better than most recievers and he\'s indispensable. |

hines ward had a better offensive line too allowing big ben more time to throw to him. their defense wasnt on the field all the time either so he got more opportunities. and he didnt put up the numbers as joe even with that.

If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
The Steelers are a run first team, and Hines has still managed to be near the top in receiving, even before Big Ben. In 2001 he had 94 catches 1003 yards and 4 tds(wasn\'t Kordell Stewart there then?), but they ran the bus. in 2002 he had 112 catches with 1329 yards and 12 Tds still with Kordell half the year, and Maddox the majority. In 2003 95 catches 1163 yards and 10 tds. 2004 80 catches 1004 yards 4 tds, and is regarded as GT said as one of the best all around FOOTBALL players, not just receivers, in the league. Annualy wins the tough man award for toughest receiver from both his peers and media. And somehow he ISN\"T better than Joe? Kelley, say it ain\'t so. Unless I am missing the sarcasm.

If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
I think the point is that Joe is making a fair salary. One cannot compare stats between the 2 because the 2 teams are completely different -- different styles -- qbs -- etc. I guess the main question is who would one rather have on their team -- Joe or Hines -- Now ask that same question and compare to who when their salary is taken into account -- now add attitude, leadership and mouth into the picture -- WhoDi you just depressed me --

So you just let me do it huh GT? lol You guys suck.
Sorry 4saint, just wanted to inject a little perspective into our Joe is starving talks. He has made more over the past 3 years than Hines has come close to, and I know that from Steelers fans talking about what Hines has been paid and when he will get a new deal. |

If you think Joe Horn has been underpaid
This thread must be where all the smart people are going to post about Joe Horn. I\'m glad I came in. I\'ve been battling with Joe Lovers all day! It\'s good to finally be among some people who know their head from a hole in the ground.
