this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Can he set the edge and/or rush the passer? An end opposite Cam Jordan is much more of a need than safety at #11......

Never reach for a need. There may be numerous options at 32 to address DE. Pick a bonafied stud at 11, not some 2nd rounder just because we have a need. I'd rather an A-player at 11 than a B-player. |

Taco Charlton and Derek Barnett both should be there at #11

Re: Jamal Adams at #11?
Totally agree about not reaching for a player. Our defense has very few top quality players. Jamal Adams would be an immediate upgrade. Doubt that he makes it to #11

Adams won't make it past the Jets at #6...

Is the potential of having the potential of one exceptional player worth the cost of drafting two players who likely will never be exceptional? I understand the value if a top 5 guy drops to 11. But I'm unsure of the value of a #11 and #32 that will never reach the potential of a top 5 guy. Thoughts? SFIAH |

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

Re: Jamal Adams at #11?
Should.
Both of them are fine prospects and I'd be fine with either one, but Adams may be the next Ed Reed only better. Do you pass up what many consider a 10 year all-pro prospect just because of need? Drafting for need is a huge mistake. |
