this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I found this article from a couple years ago. While I believe the numbers are accurate when considering the position groups in general, I don't think it applies to any specific individual. Position - Peak Age Range Tackles - 25-31 ...

Position - Peak Age Range
Tackles - 25-31
Centers - 26-32
Quarterbacks - 26-30
Guards - 26-29
Wide Receivers - 25-27
Tight Ends - 25-27
Running Backs - 24-27


These are the ages at which the average Joe NFL player starts to see a drop off in overall performance. But it would be foolhardy to try to apply this to any individual player.
