In regards to your scenario, I don't think Houston would be willing to pay that kind of price, and I think it would probably take an offer like that to pry Drew out of Sean's hands. If you're Houston you run the risk of only having him for a short time and then being right back in the same spot with a shortage of draft picks to boot. If you're the Saints you've put all this work into rebuilding the roster over the last 2-3 years and you're expected to compete right f'n now. Going through the year with a career backup or some rookie would make it really difficult to do that. I doubt Sean is willing to lose his job over another losing season, unless he can get such a ridiculously lopsided deal done and convince everyone to give him another couple years.
