Wow now it all makes sense!!!

I just don't find it excuseable that you are about to be a high draft pick in the NFL that you would even take a chance at all to hurt your pocket book. I don't want to say future... because all he has to do is stay clean and produce and all is forgiven but where you get picked matters for pride for your pocket book short term if nothing else.

Give him a hair test to be sure. He didn't seem ill when they sent him home for a possible violent incident so why all the water? He drank all of the water to cover up the drugs he was taking that made him commit the violent act!

Cmon Rez. He drank too much water because he had been doing something he shouldn't have been doing. Regardless of anyone's stance on drugs or whatever, it's stupid to mess with that before you go to the combine. So stupid.

The NFL has a deep history of players whose draft stock plummeted due to pre-draft issues. Even Marino had 5 or 6 qbs picked ahead of him because of partying rumors. How many teams regret not picking him or the likes of Sapp, Moss, J Winston and Mathieu just to name a few? Im not saying that Foster is innocent, but I think he will eventually straighhten out and turn into a pro bowl player for someone.

Just say no. If he doesn't have the common sense to stay clean KNOWING he's going to be tested at the combine, UNDERSTANDING that if he flunks it could cost him MILLIONS of dollars, he simply can't be counted on to make good choices in the future. He's not worth the headache and the possible waste of a high pick. The Saints need to hit on their picks.

Cruise, you make a very good point. If the Saints had been a playoff team for the last 3 years, maybe we could afford the risk of drafting him in the 1st.

The odds of any of our picks turning in to gold are low. I don't think he goes in the first round unless we take him at 32 which is actually a great gamble considering he was projecting a top 10 at one point. A 22 player free fall all over diluted water. I will take that bet.

One thing that is good about these kinds of players is they have a chip on their shoulder. They want to prove people wrong even if they are what everyone suspects. If he turns out a couple of solid years then turns to pewter that to me is a push.

It not that he smoked pot it is that he didn't have smarts to be clean for the combine.I am the last person to judge someone on recreational marijuana. I just don't what to tie up millions and waste a draft pick on someone not sensible enough to be clean when you know you're going to be tested at a certain date.I want some of the weed that worth millons.

Players know they are getting tested. Diluting the sample is the same as failing in my book. Its no different than you get in combat sports where fighters fail a test and claim a tainted supplement,oh it was the pills i was taking to make my d1ck hard (true story) or taking a masking agent or failing to turn up for a test.


Your guilty,no excuses. You get a list of things in the banned substance list and its your responsibility to make sure you do not take them

Have you ever taken a drug test? They're clear about all that could potentially cause a false positive.

This wasn't even a positive test. It was rendered inconclusive. So he'll take it again. Big deal.

I doubt very seriously Reuben Foster took up weed the week before this test.

How many of these players have been busted. Then after being busted once it turns out the colleges hid many other tests failures.

If its a player people like they will go to some lengths to make excises or believe things they wouldn't in other areas

Maybe im around plenty of sports were people get busted alot and i hear all the excises that it makes me very skeptical of them.

Think about it though. Your at the combine and need to perform well. Your not going to be drinking and drinking all day long as you dont need that excess water holding you down. So your body will be dehydrating all day. So why would you be drinking so much before a test that you actually dilute your system?

Look at Vaccaro last year. Hardly a bad word said. He took a banned substance and missed nearly 25% of the season for stupidity

Same thing happened with Shane Ray a couple years ago and everyone said the same things. Can't trust him, he's immature, he'll get into trouble again, blah blah blah. Well he hasn't gotten into trouble again and he's about to take over as a starter this year and will probably be a beast. We don't even know for sure if Foster did anything wrong. Perhaps his explanation is the truth. Even if it isn't, I don't think it's the big deal some of you make it out to be. Stupid? Yes. Unforgivable? No. This kid has star written all over him and if we pass on him because he made a mistake and he goes on to fulfill his potential I'll never forgive the front office.

I sometimes forget these are still young men learning life lessons. This stuff is going to cost him a lot of money but I think he will be fine. He is already coming to terms with it from his statements.

I doubt we even have the ability to get him though. Tea leaves are saying we are going to over indulge ourselves on a veteran CB. We get a DE at 11, a late round project and an undrafted WR or RB that shines in preseason. Should be enough to get us in the playoffs.

Showing what little you know about the supplement world.
Due to them not being regulated by the FDA they can put banned chemicals in the product without labeling it. Companies have been caught and fined for doing this, and this is done in some of the most popular pre-workouts.

As a professional athlete I would have all of my supplements tested by a 3rd party. Do we not remember the starcaps issue from years ago?

Would love to have Foster, hoping he slides, would be a great pick at 32.

Yes you can get tainted supplements but not to the extent athletes do. You see the same athlete a year after the ban with a completely different body shape in large amount of cases.

Also as i said before. If he is being tested at the combine why would he have so much water in his system. You cant run and perform on a bladder thats overflowing with water. Its takes litres (4+ normally on a normal size man) and Foster is over 230lb. He has drunk loads of water for a reason. The same as having issues once it got time to be medical checked out independent doctors.

Im not saying dont draft him.

Im saying he couldn't be waiving red flags above his head anymore if he tried though.

First not letting them check his shoulder
Second what looks like flushing his sytem

Id still consider him at 11


If he wasn't who he was talent wise people wouldnt be willing to overlook this though

Argubly the best safety prospect in the draft. I can't see him sliding to #11 but I'd love to have him.
