He'll be playing by October. I urge everybody to go watch his tape, then go watch Marcus Peters.

If we take Reuben at number 11 the organization better make damn sure they have the people in place to keep to keep him focused. I have already seen this story before in Dallas with what's happened to Gregory and Lawerence.

All the talent in the world won't matter if you can't pass a simple drug test.

He never failed a drug test. He had a diluted sample. BIG difference.

He may not have failed a drug test in your eyes but in the eyes of the NFL this is essentially a failed test. That's why any player that tests positive for a diluted sample is automatically enrolled in the NFL drug program.

True. But in the eyes of those that matter (franchise decision makers) there is a difference. If it was caused by over-hydration, which is a very real possibility, then there should be no reason why he would fail more tests that would result in a three game suspension.

The players you named had real issues.

That's a big if (with regards to over-hydration). To be perfectly honest, if Reuben wasn't trying to hide anything he could clear it up easily by just submitting to a bloodtest. I seriously doubt he does that though because it could reveal other substances that could be banned. So given that, I would think long an hard about whether you can afford to take him at 11. Now if you want to take a chance on him at 32 or later I'm ok with that.

The league is about to stop testing for weed anyway, as they should.

Under NFL CBA rules you cannot clear things up with a blood test. They actually discussed that on NFL radio the other day saying if it was allowed it could surely get past the issue. The problem isn't being in the program for Foster, it is how the test can affect his draft status. Being in the program really doesn't matter if you don't use and any diluted sample could simply trigger another test the next day which could clear things up.

If Reuben decided to initiate the blood test at an independent lab and released the results to the press he could do that. You have to remember, he hasn't been drafted yet so technically he isn't bound by CBA rules. While it can't "officially" be used to clear the result from his diluted sample I'm pretty sure every team would ignore the urine test result at that point.

At any rate, all I'm saying is if the bread smells funny and you eat the sandwich anyway don't blame the sandwhich that it made you sick when you could smell something was funny before you took that first bite.
