DE Al-Quadin Muhammad i checked in for this?

Character red flags = hasn't played football in two of the last three seasons.
Sluggish
Offers very little presence as edge rusher

i gotta look for some thing positive. hope?

I did not want him as an UDFA

You never know though, right? Wait and see. They have FAR more insight than we have. You think they made the pick in a total vacuum?

Do some research.

What a disappointing pick, guess they missed having Junior Galette around and decided to bring him back in the form of this idiot...

The New Orleans Saints wrapped up their draft on Saturday by selecting Miami defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad in the sixth round, adding a developmental pass-rush prospect to their ranks.

Muhammad, a 6-foot-3, 253-pounder who played at Miami, saw his career with the Hurricanes derailed by off-the-field infractions.

When he did see extensive time in 2015, Muhammad had 54 tackles and five sacks, but he was suspended for the entire 2014 season for an altercation with a former Miami student who was his roommate, and he was dismissed from the program before the 2016 season for receiving illicit benefits from a car company.

With his time done at Miami, Muhammad tried to transfer to Hampton, but the transfer request was denied.
...

Makes you wonder what could have been if he stayed out of trouble...

As i say its a shot in the dark at this stage and i have to issue with it

But to make the 53 he is going to have to beat out Kikaha,Okafor and our other pick this year

I GIVE UP LOOKING.

All I have is a name with a line drawn through it

They see some thing I missed.

Gotta talk to some people and see what they have on him

With so many players left on the board this better be good

Different circumstances than Galette. Properly vetted he could be a steal.

He got suspended for receiving benefits from a luxury car rental company. How does that make him a thug? Try doing a little research before jumping to uninformed conclusions.

Well JG wasn't an issue for us until he was an issue for us. Prior to being an issue for us he was sacking the **** out of QB's and getting a huge contract. This is different because we did the proper vetting thing this time, last time we didn't do the proper vetting thing. God frigan gag me with the pathetic BS

You have to realize that it doesn't matter who we select or who bring in from FA, they're the absolute best thing since slice bread until we cut them. It is called the lack of objectivity syndrome. If he was selected by a different team he'd be a thug or whatever else. BTW- I caught that you weren't being serious with the thug comment and more so he doesn't really seem like a thug, but either way the comments are just absurd by some.

There was a member on here, one of the **** shiners who literally said one thing about our running backs one week and the following week when we cut CJ they turned it to the frigan absolute complete opposite of what they said the week before. I even set them up by restating what they had said a week before. I then posted their opinion from the week before as if it was my own and had them tell me how I was wrong, and then I turned around and posted their post from the previous week. Was sincerely pathetic and let me know there is no objectivity with these fools

Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7

OK this is what I got

Raw as we all know

Street kid. explains the issues. making a buck and not taking crap.

Nasty tough player that like to beat up on blockers rather than dance around them.

Needs a ton of coaching to learn how to be a DE. Counter moves and such

Attitude wise he is just nasty on the field. Some thing that needs to be reined in. Has the ability to push the pocket, move QBs off there spot and rack up plenty of QB hits.

Number one concern? Needs to stop looking for the easy way to get a job done.

ok not to bad but a serious project on the field. Need work in between the ears and get his head on straight.

long term if he puts his mind to it is a solid rotational DE. If things click he could surprise

How about you try taking your own advice and do some research. If you are going to be a jackass try being right. He was suspended all of the 2014 season for an altercation during the spring. Al-Quadin Muhammad Draft Profile

I had already done that research, voodoo. LOL. It was not criminal. It was a school violation. He came back from that and excelled.

The issue was this past year's absence. Don't be such a hater, dude. Love you, man!

I didn't say he was going to sit the bench. The Saints use multiple tight ends a fair amount. But regardless of what Fleener makes, that doesn't give him the right to start. The Saints made a mistake signing him, and if they had drafted a tight end who would have come in and outplayed Fleener, then you go with the better player. Fleener becomes an expensive backup, but so be it. How many teams break the bank for a quarterback in free agency, and then they have to bench him a few weeks into the season? You can't be held hostage by a price tag.

Right, we drafted a DE in the 6th round, so he automatically addressed a need. Let's hold our horses a little on a late round pick having any impact. There's a reason players fall this far in the draft.

That's like when people say we have "depth" at a given position because we have a lot of players at that position, while ignoring that most of them aren't very good.
