Re: Day three
We have one more pick.
Does that even warrant a thread? |
Re: Day three
So there's no need to even watch the draft because it does not matter who their sixth is? Probably anther special teams player I guess.
|
Re: Day three
Eh, I think the day after the draft is more interesting than the 6th and 7th rounds. Late in the draft is where teams start making ridiculous picks, hoping that super raw athletes tap into their potential. The rookie free agent pool has more polished players who aren't considered to have as much upside, yet it seems like more of them become successful than late round picks.

Re: Day three
I think we go QB with our last pick. Still some good ones out there. Peterman and Kaaya are the top of the list.
|
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Why not go with a short defensive lineman with short arms!

Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
I love the speed which GM's make the picks. Personally thing Goodell makes the draft a drama for the first two rounds.

Maybe a TE and/or WR selected today by the Saints?
|
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
I think Peterman would be an ok pick with potential, if they had to go quarterback. But I don't see him falling all the way to the 6th. Same goes for all of the players I have my eye on. We're more than likely going to get some player most of us have never heard of, which is par for the course that late in the draft. Wish we had at least a 5th.

Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
1 QB off the board. Great!
|
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Falcons on the board
|
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Scratch off ticket rounds. Somebody is going to win. Why not us?
|
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Falcons pick Center Harlow from Oregon State
|
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
ESPN talking heads are talking so much garbage that teams are making selections and they're like 3 picks behind and won't even announce the picks.
SUCKS |
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Have a feeling we go wr here. Trent Taylor-la tech, stringfellow- ole piss or owusu from Stanford would be good picks in my opinion. If te leggett is there I would grab him. A good chance Godchau-td from LSU may drop. De Bower from LSU will be there as well. A smaller cb from Minnesota, myrick- 5'9 200 pounds could be a safety/ nickel back. Ran a 4.28 at the combine.

What number is our pick?

Thanks!

Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
I wonder if Jake Butt is worth taking a flyer on, if he's still there. I'd prefer Kittle, if we go tight end, but I'm making the assumption he won't be there.
|
Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Nevermind. The butthead Broncos just took Butt...

Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Did the Jets really need another TE? Leggett was the last one worth taking, as far as I'm concerned, after Butt and Kittle went off the board. Looks like we're going to have to deal with Fleener as our #1 TE for at least another year.

I'm not too thrilled with the UDFA, it has not been that good since Pace left.

Re: Day three:Rounds 4-7
Strange pick but its R7 and anyone you wanted as a PUDFA is worth takjing now
STRENGTHS Angular build with a well proportioned frame and good muscular definition. Has experience playing 4-3 defensive end and as a 3-4 rush linebacker. Has some explosion in his hips and should test well in vertical leap and broad jump. Has adequate power in his base and can set a solid edge as an outside linebacker. Crashes down the line of scrimmage with wide, lateral steps to collide with heavy pads into runners trying to burst through running lanes. Possesses relatively forceful punch. Has a speed-to-power bullrush. WEAKNESSES Highly inexperienced thanks to suspensions related to his disciplinary issues at Miami. Character red flags will be a concern headed into combine interviews. Tight hips restrict his stride length. Not a fluid athlete. Segmented movements feel labored. Sluggish change of direction to flow with the ball. Slight delay in his acceleration. Lacks man cover talent and is stiff dropping into space. Leggy at point of attack and can be washed away by size. Offers very little presence as edge rusher. Missing workable counter move. Loop under in twists is slow and telegraphed. DRAFT PROJECTION PFA BOTTOM LINE Muhammad has the physical traits to warrant a look even though he hasn't played football in two of the last three seasons. He's a basic pass rusher who doesn't have explosive burst upfield and he still has work to do with his hands. At this point, he's a developmental outside linebacker with character baggage that could have a heavy impact on his draft status. |
